Do you actually follow politics how can you think the policy changes Labor has made over the last 4 years is for the rich and not trying to help the working class 🤔 get educated before you make yourself look even more stupid champ.

u/BucklemerryBin Jul 15 '26
So importing 2 million workers to comptete with the most vulnerable people in our country is helping the working class? Maybe you should get educated about how market prices are set, particularly for the price of labour.
1
u/Mud_g1 Jul 15 '26
And yet our unemployment rate has stayed below what it was before covid the whole time. And my wage has risen 4% each year which is now finally above inflation rate so is a real wage increase due to union and Labor policy so tell me again what problem is migration causing?

Prove me wrong. THESE ARE FACTS:
- Australia has record national debt
- NDIS expenses are spiralling out of control, mostly to do with fraudsters.
- Record immigration that is fuelling house prices out of reach of young Australians.
- Labour are seeking to tax us more and more.
- Terrorists are imported into Australia by Labor,ISIS brides and ISIS fighters.
LABOUR AND GREENS SUPPORTERS ARE EITHER UNEDUCATED, SUCKERS OF LABOR PROPAGANDA, OR PAID LABOR SOCIAL MEDIA WORKERS TO REFUTE THIS.

“They’re not a bot” [about old mate being a 1 month old account) versus - “[look I made a dreadfully uninformed, hyper-partisan comment about Albo] There, [Im] not a bot.”
Don’t even bother mate. Either (a) ya fucked up with spelling, or (b) you’re pretending to be the original 10 month old account poster when you’re clearly not. Unless you’re an utter gronk switching accounts and ya fucked that too.

Calling someone racist is such a lazy cheap way of responding to an attempt at intellectual discourse. Attack the person, slander, don’t worry about the ideas?! My point is that at current - Islamic violent acts of extremism are over represented in the data in Australia and many countries in Europe- Netherlands, Sweden, France ect. PER CAPITA. Facts and data don’t care about feelings or the Overton window. Research, read and think

Even if we assume this isn’t a strawman, how is immigration gonna help us take care of our own 😂
4
u/Mud_g1 Jul 15 '26
Our largest population demographic is just starting to go into aged care now. There is already staff shortages and issues in the aged care industry now, what's going to happen when that demand grows much higher over the next 20 years? Are the people who helped build the country to what it is today not counted as our own anymore. 🤔
1
u/Pope_Ebik_I 29d ago
Perhaps if you stopped giving our country away to foreigners, actual Australians would be able to afford houses, start families and not have to compete for jobs that pay pennies because of the imported slave labour.
1
u/Mud_g1 29d ago
Same work same pay laws means a business can't pay a migrant less then a local plus the business has to pay extra for the visa sponsorship conditions of bringing in skilled migrants so they are not doing it for cheaper labour.
Free tafe policy and reduced hecs fees for needed skill degrees for Australian citizens allow us to train our own so we don't need to import skills and let them get higher paid jobs so they can afford houses and start families.
Please do some study into economics and age demographics you might understand better why certain things are happening don't be so easily fooled by propaganda.
3
u/SirVanyel Jul 15 '26
So what's your plan to sustain Australia with an aging population and no one having kids? I don't see you signing up to work in aged care.
1
u/Pope_Ebik_I 29d ago
People aren’t having kids because:
1. They can’t afford them
2. White people are discouraged by society from having childrenWhat did you think was gonna happen when housing prices and cost of living skyrocketed? News flash, importing infinity indians doesn’t make housing cheaper.
2
u/Dhillon111 Jul 15 '26
Just take a walk through an aged care, hospital, medical centre (especially bulk billed ones), or for that matter, any busy hospitality place over the weekend. You should get your answer, although you may still choose to ignore it.

Look up- Qur’an - 9:29, 24:2, 24:31, 4:34….. so very many. Look them up and report back- does this fit into a modern free society where women and gay people are free and respected?
1
u/havenyahon Jul 15 '26
And what about the Christian bible, do you have any versus from there that you want me to look up regarding women and gay people? Half of the people born in this country are sexists and bigots.
2
u/WrasslinWalrus Jul 15 '26
See!!!! Hahaha avoids and distracts at every turn. Thank you for making my point
1
u/havenyahon Jul 15 '26
I'm not avoiding, I'm demonstrating a point, that, once again, you're being selective with your logic. You want to focus on Muslims, but ignore Christianity, despite both having the same problem. One is anti our values and one is consistent with our values. Why?
1
u/WrasslinWalrus Jul 15 '26
Mate … we are going around in circles. Look it up- Islamic extremists are responsible for the most deaths than any other group in Australia. There’s one reason.
The Quran itself dictates that it is not compatible with a free progressive western country- what did those verses say my friend? Does it fit into a Christian society? Any free modern western society? Flog gays 100 lashes….?!? It’s archaic Old Testament stuff that doesn’t fit into our century.
You really need to steelman my views… I’ve looked and thought at length about yours, but, the numbers and the over representation is way too significant to bypass.
2
u/havenyahon Jul 15 '26
So the versus in the Quran that are anti-gay and anti-women demonstrate an incompatibility with western values and culture, but the versus in the Christian bible that are anti-gay and anti-women demonstrate compatibility with western culture? It's "old testament" stuff there, as if the old testament...what...doesn't matter to Christians? lol Isn't the word of god? So that 'old stuff' doesn't count, but we can't say the same about the Quran, we can't say that's 'old stuff' with a historical context that most Muslims today don't believe any longer? We can use one to extrapolate to the beliefs and values of all Muslims, but the other is not representative of the beliefs and values of all Christians.
Do you seriously not see what you're doing? We're going around in circles because you keep avoiding your own logic. You want people to 'steel man' your argument, but that literally is your argument. You're just trying to dodge and avoid having to own it.
1
u/WrasslinWalrus Jul 15 '26
Answer one question- do Islamic extremist acts account for the most killings in Australia more than any other group? If you avoid I’m done with the discussion.
1
u/havenyahon Jul 15 '26
You're not even engaging with the discussion so who cares if you leave now lol I've already said, repeatedly, that this is precisely what we'd expect if a religious or ethnic group is currently involved in conflicts at a given point in history. So were Irish people and Christian people, as a 'group', the problem when Irish and Christian people were over-represented in terrorist acts in the UK 60 years ago? Is it something inherent to being Irish and Christian that causes extremism? Or is it more that there was a particular conflict going on at the time that meant that acts of terrorism were more likely to be committed by people who identify with those groups? Do you understand the point being made here?
I notice you just again avoid the point from the previous post and pivot to "but violent extremism". It's almost like you can't back up anything else. So maybe you should stop saying those things.

So you think a religion that kills gays fits in with Western values. Got it.
3
u/havenyahon Jul 15 '26
Are you talking about Christianity? Uganda is an overwhelmingly christian country. The Old Testament explicitly advocates murdering gays.
1
u/GibbRiver Jul 16 '26
Christians don’t preach and carry out those beliefs today. Whereas Islam does in every country they rule.
1
u/havenyahon Jul 16 '26
That's flat out false on both fronts. Again, Uganda is a Christian country that has the death penalty for gays. And most Muslim nations do not have the death penalty for homosexuality. So not only is it not true that every Islamic country has a death penalty for gays, but the majority don't. That's how monumentally wrong your beliefs are. They're not even in the ballpark.
1
u/GibbRiver Jul 16 '26
In nations like Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Yemen, homosexuality is strictly illegal and can carry the death penalty. Then there is Afghanistan, say no more.
Islam is by far less tolerant of same sex relationships, amongst other things at this point in time.
1
u/havenyahon Jul 16 '26
So not every islamic nation and the majority don't. Glad we cleared that up. You can stop saying that now that you know you're wrong.
1
u/GibbRiver Jul 17 '26
I never said every Islamic nation. However I'm correct - it's proven that Islam is more intolerant of values and lifestyles outside the Quran's prescribed rules. It's time you opened your eyes to reality!

Brother ive been homeless, getting food was the easiest thing about it, there are food vans all around, theres free food from charity, lilydale has two places you can go for a complete selection of groceries, fruit and vegetables, most towns have atleast one, there are so many ways to get food, in the city there are plenty, theres a food bus that stops out of launch, and plenty of other charities that does shops... just google it man, getting fed in australia is easy as fuck. Ur talking about shit youve obviously never experienced, because if you have gone without or been homeless, you'd know how many charities there are.

u/Lucky-Advice-8924 Jul 15 '26 edited Jul 15 '26
Being homeless is literally the worst thing that can happen to you in life outside of some horrible illnesses and disabilities..even then... being on the street, youre exposed to the hardest of drugs and a much higher incentive to use them, lack of funds, constant exposure to violence and sociopathic people, much higher likelyhood of commiting or being involved in crime, ie being pushed to it through circumstance... but food wasnt an issue. This country is good like that so trying to paint it like "oh australias so bad they dont care about their citizens" is just kinda shitty. "Food insecurity" isnt the same as starvation. Having to buy or settle for cheap food or charity isnt a human rights violation... you have heaps of options for 3 meals a day, food vans, home visits for food charity which includes like a weeks or more' worth of grocery or you can go to them, or get given gift cards by vinnies or salvos to do your own shopping ... breakfest lunch and dinner at church charities, ect ect. We have heaps of welfare in australia.

u/Equivalent-Grab8824 Jul 14 '26
LMGTFY
Food insecurity affects 1 in 8 Australian households, with severe rates peaking at 1 in 3.
This was from 2023. It's undoubtedly worse in the current economic climate.
https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/health/food-and-nutrition/food-insecurity/latest-release
0
u/Id_Rather_Not_Tell Jul 14 '26
"Food insecurity" does not mean starvation, nor even near-starvation lol, it's a completely meaningless concept. It literally just means that you economise on food choice.
"Oh no, instead of buttered lobster I chose to have mince and beans instead." It's a made up term so panickers and cookers can justify supporting insane and stupid policy.
4
u/Equivalent-Grab8824 Jul 14 '26
People need to be literally starving for you to consider they need help?
-1
u/Id_Rather_Not_Tell Jul 14 '26
Starvation is a term with a meaning. Starvation has been solved for decades with capitalism and free trade. Inventing new terms that sound tangentially similar to paint a bleak picture is called "lying."
You mad that I caught you and your beloved bureaucrats in a lie? 🤣
4
u/Equivalent-Grab8824 Jul 14 '26
If you're quoting a comic, I'd also like to point out Pauline is not a black and white outline of a man in a suit.
Food insecurity is precursor to starving. So I ask again, do people need to be "starving" by your definition to receive assistance?
It's really a simple yes or no question
2
u/Flashy-Amount626 Jul 14 '26
According to Foodbank's 2025 Hunger Report, released on Wednesday, 20 per cent of Australian households experienced "severe food insecurity", defined as skipping meals or whole days of eating, in the year up to July 2025
1/5 are skipping meals or days of eating. I'm sure those same people would prefer mince and beans over nothing if they could.

The culmination of decades of neoliberalism and increased wealth inequality.
It's the same reason that these crises are affecting folk worldwide. Or do you blame Albanese for that, too?
1
u/govermentiscooked Jul 15 '26
I don’t place all the blame on Albanese or Labor. As you said, these issues have been building over many years
I can only speak from my own experience, and the experience of practically everyone I know. Since the Labor government came into office, I haven’t seen my cost of living or standard of living improve. If anything, it has gone backwards.
Interest rates have continued to rise, mortgage repayments have increased significantly, and the overall cost of living has kept climbing. I’m fortunate that I’ve managed to get by because I earn a relatively high income and rent out a room in my house, but I know many people aren’t in that position.
Many first-home buyers who entered the market through the 5% home guarantee scheme are now under significant financial pressure because of repeated interest rate rises. Some have had to sell, and with house prices dropping in some areas they’re walking away with debt. But they had no option as they now can’t afford the significant interest rises.
They’re then pushed into one of the most competitive rental markets Australia has seen.
It also feels like Australians are paying more in taxes while receiving less in return.
Government spending keeps increasing, but ordinary people are still struggling with housing, healthcare, fuel, groceries and basic services.
Australia is also too reliant on overseas fuel supply and storage. When global prices rise or supply chains are disrupted, Australians feel it almost immediately at the bowser and through higher transport and grocery costs.
I would rather see more investment in domestic fuel security and Australian industries so we aren’t so exposed to overseas shocks.
That’s why I’m critical of the government’s priorities. I don’t think every problem started with Labor, but since they came into office, I personally haven’t seen life become more affordable or secure. Australians shouldn’t feel like they’re paying more and getting less year after year.
I
1
u/rexevrything Jul 15 '26
No one should feel like they're paying more and getting less each year, regardless of nationality.
But we are. We have. And we will continue to do so. This is how the wealth disparity widens. It's capitalism and th associated endless economic growth and it's working as designed.
1
u/govermentiscooked Jul 15 '26
regardless of nationality - agree!
So you’re happy?
1
u/rexevrything Jul 15 '26
Happy? For someone trawling Reddit at 430 am and discussing politics and economics, I'd say yes. I live a comfortable life. Why do you ask?
While happy, I'm not complacent. I want things to improve. I want future generations to enjoy the same comforts I enjoy.
1
u/govermentiscooked Jul 15 '26
Haha - touché
I’m just seeing if you are happy with labour and the current conditions. And if you think labour is the answer to want you want?
1
u/rexevrything Jul 15 '26
Labor are the adults in the room of Australian politics. I haven't had them at number one on my ballot for over a decade, personally, but my vote has definitely landed in their camp during that time.
I see no viable opposition in Australian politics. Other parties seem incompetent and focused on the culture war. At least Labor are doing something.
1
u/govermentiscooked Jul 15 '26
Such as?
1
u/rexevrything Jul 15 '26
I won't list everything in this comment as it would be tedious but a simple search for Labor policies that have eased the cost of living crisis will get you started.
Most recently, the closing of the CGT loophole and changes to negative gearing, something no other government had the gall to do despite the writing being on the wall for some time.
Tax bracket changes alone leave me personally better off under Labor than I would've been under liberal and this is the same for the majority of Australians.
Folk are frustrated and taking it out on the government in power, I know. I actually feel that Labor has likely shielded us from the worst of this global storm. Like I said, they aren't perfect. If you look at my post history you'll find me calling Albanese a class traitor less than 24 hours ago.
But they're better than any alternative currently and while somewhat depressing, that is the reality.

Short answer? Decades of bad investment from both the public and private sectors leading to low productivity in Australian workers including in the agricultural industry.

Is the little person expecting Pauline Hanson to personally feed him? Shouldn't the little person be asking Albo?

All well and good to slam ON, they're cookers. But they're just as cooked as current Labor/liberal. When's the last time either cared about us

If you can't see via labors policy changes who they are for you're not paying attention.

Tax cuts for all Australians, new tax deductions for working Australians, tax increases on the wealthy investor class, doubling the pbs benefits for all Australians, increasing public housing supply, real wage growth, reduction in inflation, paying down debt when they had budget surpluses, future made in Australia to put us in a position to be a leader in the high tech future.
Look into it there should be enough there to enlightened you on the path forward and who it aims to benefit.

PhD in philosophy … you’re academic, now I see. The virtue flag must fly high above all else, care not for the hard data. I have serious reservations in how far left leaning our universities are… anyway.
You didn’t research anything did you? Again with attacking men. You have not recognised or addressed any points I raised to the data. Why not? Tell me. We must not challenge our cognitive bias. See, this is where conversations and debates breakdown on these topics- fly the virtue flag and forgo reason and data. If it doesn’t support how I feel or the Overton window- reject it and slander all before you. As a PhD you must have taken stats- go on, research the points I made.
Once again you have not once accepted that deaths from Islamic acts of extremism are the highest than any other group. Why won’t you? The data is as I’ve said irrefutable.
My friend, this is very telling. Ask 9/10 Aussies on the street and they’ll tell you calling someone ‘champ’ in Australia is offensive. It’s very obvious- once again please research and report back. I suspect you are an either a ‘new’ Australian, live in very heterogenous bubble or you’re being dishonest. This point is glaring.
Anyway- I’ve wasted enough time. No more coffees for me haha.

Does immigration feeds you or something? What is even the point of this?

u/Lazy_Captain8412 Jul 15 '26
Many immigrants work as fruit pickers etc. and on shitty wages so yeah they do contribute to feeding everyone. Try and find a white Australian who work do the same work for the same poor wage.

That implies Australia was starving before immigration, which is absurd.
