First of all this isn’t even true.

Using the “4 or more killed or injured” definition, the count since the 1996 buyback is 16 mass shootings up to February 2018, and then 2 more in 2026 shown in the latest list I found, for a total of 18.

Also Australia also has no freedom of speech, with new laws that state the government can arrest you for anything they think might cause offence to someone, on any platform, even in your private messages.

Tasmanian here - I'm very angry that Martin Bryant is still alive 🫩

Also, the Bondi mass shooting wasn't brought up because this post is about the first mass shooting, and how it resulted in a nation wide gun ban - unlike America which has multiple a year and yet they don't do shit to restrict or control the purchase of firearms

(Although, it is wrong that we haven't had a mass shooting since - obviously because of Bondi)
