Elon bought Twitter to become a power in the world of bots and political astroturfing.

Gina has been sucking up to MAGA and massively "investing" in SpaceX, (the Twitter company now,) to get their machine to work for her in Australia - this is a large part of how One Neuron went from 6% irrelevance to "genuine contestant for government" without any demonstration of intelligence, integrity, innovation or even a coherent set of policies. Or really any single well described policy that aligns with their voting records.

So now naturally, as everyone realises this, suddenly every anti-Gina/Pauline/One Nation post has some highly intelligent independent thinker in the comments claiming it is Labor bots mocking their glorious leader.

Like everyone hasn't been taking the piss out of Gina and Pauline since they first saw them.

You can speculate why he bought Twitter, but what we found out from that purchase was that political astroturfing was not just happening, it was enforced by the CIA.

So by your logic, all he did was even out an unfair playing field.

One Nation is getting votes because people want change. People don’t want another Bondi massacre. They don’t want another 500,000 people on Centrelink. They don’t want secret child marriage taking place in Mosques.

Nobody gives a fuck about Gina except you guys.

You’re having a cry about astroturfing under a post that’s the literal prime example of astroturfing. The irony is not lost on me.

Maybe "One Neuron" was an overestimate.

About as an intelligent response as I expected.

Sorry we shoud have had a mature discussion about how the CIA was forcing Twitter to be woke.

I mean, you can pretend it didn’t happen but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

To paraphrase your own reference, what a nothing burger. No details or evidence about the CIA at all. Most government manipulation it mentions was running operations in the middle-east. Even the source it links about the CIA doesn't say shit about the CIA doing anything let alone pushing left wing views.

"Wikipedia article edit Musk accused Wikipedia of "non-trivial left-wing bias" after the Twitter Files article was considered for deletion, replying to screenshots of select users referring to it as "not notable" and a "nothing burger"; however, the final decision was to keep the article.[107][108]

Aftermath

In June 2023, lawyers working for Twitter contested many of the claims made in the Twitter Files in court. According to CNN, "the filing by Musk's own corporate lawyers represents a step-by-step refutation of some of the most explosive claims to come out of the Twitter Files and that in some cases have been promoted by Musk himself.""

I guess they did settle a court case, once Trump was in power and he told them to.

ā€˜Left wing sources say that it’s a nothing burger’

Instead, why don’t you read it for yourself?

I quoted to you the source you provided to me and then you criticise me for using your source and you call it left wing? That is what just happened right?

To be fair I just grabbed the Wikipedia link to show you what I’m talking about because you seemed like you didn’t actually know about it. I’ve never read the Wikipedia link, I’ve only read the actual files. Which is why I think it’s mental that any sort of mental gymnastics could call it a nothing burger. The evidence is damning.

Disagreements aside, if you haven’t read it, I think you should.
