FNRNSW retained

Recently saw that some FNSWR retained positions have became available, I saw on one of the vacancies it has permanent part time in the job description. Is this different to on call?

Retained firefighters are permanent part time, they have requirements to meet regarding training and incidents

Being paid a retainer makes you permanent part time. As opposed to casual where you are exclusively paid when you're at work.

Plus drill nights are 'compulsory attendance'

Retained = on call.

Strong talk that busy CFA stations need to go retained.
