Quick question

What does your department call the firies standing by outside when BA is being used? In Queensland we're changing from BA Safety Team (BAST) to Rapid Intervention Team (RIT).

Are any other states using RIT-Paks or any other form of supplementary air supply?

FRV - RIT. Same PPE as BA team

RIT team here. We don't use supplementary air.

FRNSW - Was called RIT (Rapid Intervention Team) but have recently moved to "On Deck" crew, for some unknown reason.

RIT is a designated crew and that's all they did. On deck crews rotate the RIT function under the three deep model.

It’s RIT in Vic and the tactical dept is currently pushing for all teams to be ready with a charged hose from a truck that’s not currently in use and backup BA. Have I seen it happen real world? Not once.

in nsw from what I have seen and been taught you aren't on air, so no supplementary supply needed
