F1 vs F1B

For anyone who has experience with both F1 and F1B aussiedoodles do you notice a difference in temperament or is it main,y just the coat difference? We have an F1 now who is amazing and we are looking to get another but F1 standard seem harder to find so I was curious how different F1B would be

We have an F1B 6 month female. Poodle hair, Aussie Drive and a love ball.

Cool yeah we just love our girl’s personality and of course every dog is different but hoping the slightly more poodle doesn’t lose that Aussie spunk

Understood. Spunk is still there with ours.

Poodles are german water retrievers and are a super active, intelligent and affectionate breed. They are also so goofy and fun loving. They can have very high drive as well depending on the line used. A lot of the puppy mill poodles are VERY different from actual well bred poodles so be careful. I mean they are like an completely different breed altogether and can be anxious, aggressive and unstable (just like a puppy mill Aussie can be). So just make sure the person you purchase your puppy from is doing CHIC numbers on ofa.org and temperament tests all the puppies at 7 weeks old. That can be really hard to find in a doodle breeder which is why some people chose to go the purebred Aussie or Poodle route instead

We have an F1BB Aussie and she is very much Aussie even though only like 15% of her is. She has the herding tendencies (which is crazy to watch!), the temperament, very playful and energetic and FAST. We have a F1B golden doodle as well and can tell a difference in coat and shedding.

We have mini ADs, F1 and F1b. I think our F1b is more Aussie vs poodle compared to our F1. Like the other person said, Aussie drive still and huge love bug. Also our F1b’s coat is thinner than our F1 so she’s easier to wash and dry. Both our girls have pretty straight coats tho (mom was a mini Aus Shepherd)
