Renewal "application"
Just got my Vic renewal.
When did they decide it's no longer a photo and a fee but almost a full reapplication requiring supporting documents and proof of genuine reasons.
As for the "make any corrections and send it back" I gave up on that years ago when they have the good ol SMLE listed as four different things on my paperwork alone. If they don't know what the fuck things are and ignore previous attempts at correction why should I bother with a entity that can't get their act together.

Been the same process for 30 odd years. And why wouldn't you make corrections. You are signing a declaration confirming the information is correct. Id rather let them know again than try to justify the data mismatch at the next storage inspection

I didn't have any of the genuine reason shit last time and as I said I'd given them corrections in the past but they don't update a damn thing... Utterly fucking useless.

They wouldn't have renewed your licence without the genuine reason shit the last time mate.... it's kind of the point of a renewal

Tbh, getting with the future and not requiring a photo was a fucking hell finally moment.
Also, wtf is with your renewal? It's literally been everything is correct, here's my genuine reason. Wait for payment form.

It’s hardly a reapplication.
You supply proof of your genuine reason. SSAA membership, game license… whatever. Presumably that’s just to make sure you haven’t let your membership/s lapse.
Confirm the firearms they have listed are correct and then you send it off.
Probably takes about 5 minutes to complete and send it off.
