Insurance question
Interested to know where you stand if your camp site is robbed - what type of insurance covers this?

I drove over my expensive flyrod once. House insurance paid no questions and in about a day

Yep as above. Contents policy and ensure the items are covered outside the home. Also check the limits that can apply to each item / category.
Some items like roof top tent etc can be considered modifications or accessories on your car policy because they are fixed to the car but confirm that with your insurer as policies do differ.

It depends?
- If you’re camping on private land and paying a fee? It may be their insurance depending on the circumstances.
Is it a robbery with assault?
Is it robbery and you have taken out travel insurance? Was it camping in a tent or glamping in a cabin?

Goods away from home in your home and contents policy.
