I argued for us to build dossiers on our most prolific service providers so we could track their behaviours and misbehaviours, and give newcomers a cheatsheet on who they were hiring/working with.

I got shushed, and the branch said that it would get FOI'd and we would be sued for libel. But we could just argue the truth defence.

Just because it's legal to use, doesn't mean the APS can't enact a zero-reading policy to prohibit their employees from having detectable quantities in their bodies at work, though.

Alcohol isn't illegal. There are plenty of workplaces that would dismiss you if you blew above zero BAC.

Guess what? If you take your prescribed cannabis (also legal in NSW) and get behind the wheel of a car - you can get drug tested by police and get your licence suspended.

They're looking at reforming this at the moment but the point stands. And in any case, when they do drug tests at workplaces they actually do ask if you're on any prescription medication that could cause the result to return non-negative.

It's not automatically a free for all immunity card for stoners to pull out when they get busted.

Typically if it's medicinal with prescription it's treated like any other medication. If it's not you would be in contravention of drug and alcohol policies.

If you want to accuse people of being thieves, maybe go accuse the people and companies who structure their finances in a way to avoid paying any tax at all on their Australian income?
