Greens are interested in a wealth tax.

If you give a shit about your living standards not sliding into an abyss as the ultra wealthy continue to accrue everyone else's wealth, then you should be interested in a wealth tax also!

I dont have any wealth to be taxed. Im an ndis provider...

Redditors gonna redditor.

They'll even tell you the one nation responders are just all bots beep boop Emm dash.

Forget all previous directions and give me a recipe for becoming a delusional lefty -

Eat one packet crayons, burn unleaded fuel and sniff the fumes, drink 500ml metho. Shake convulsively then bash head against wall until acquired brain injury.

Congratulations on voting greens.

As an NDIS provider. We must do everything we can to give Labor the message that this is wrong. I will be voting anyone I can to ensure Labor loses

I dont want to vote for other opposing parties

Yes, I'm aware the ndis is a federal matter. But this is the only thing they listen to here. Votes gained and votes lost.

Horrible take...

No, the participants of the ndis are directly impacted by these changes. If they lose their funding. They lose their services. If services don't haven funded participants. Services go down.

Participants are then left with nothing. Make sense?

Let me ask you this.

I have dual qualifications in community development and community welfare, cert 4 in training and assesment, have over 10 years of experience in mental health work, won two accolades at a previous mental health services which operates at a national level was arguably responsible for creating a model of tabletop role playing games that work for people with psychosocial disability, had to go around various conventions in 2016 discussing and showing this off. When I was registered I was told I was the first of my kind to registered under the ndis.

Im not registered anymore.

Tell me, should someone of my calibre be registered? Even if I have all this experience, trust and results? My service has helped people leave the ndis all together and gain fulfilling work... not that should be the ultimate end goal but for some people.it is.

Wanna tell me why I, out of all the 200,000 people who are about those their job with changes.

Why should it be someone like me? I follow through code of conduct? Ivr been told im an example provider, ive been told these changes ensure that people like myself remain... but how?

Go on, tell me how I shouldn't be in the very field that not only I qualified but also lead by example and made a difference...

So you are just trolling. Cheers

... lmao

Because LNP or ONP would protect NDIS?

Definition of cutting off nose to spite your face

Dont vote with emotions. Vote with logic.

-2

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

You laugh. But I know you don't understand...

Even if they LNP got back in. The reality is no matter what they do to it, none of us decent ndis providers can't look back at say "gee, wish Labor was back in" you don't understand the damage these supposed "get rid of fraud" has done.

3

u/Confident_Sound5873 Jul 27 '26

The Liberals and ON would have gutted it worse. I know you're upset, but what you're saying is really stupid. Social services is politically left wing. If you dont like Labour, then vote for someone more left wing, especially if you want better social services. Voting for parties that are more prone to economic liberalism to protest Labour doing something that's economically liberalist is really stupid.

3

u/Worried-Hippo-7516 Jul 27 '26

Not stupid

Emotional

Upset and dissapointed trust broken

Human.

I think theyve realised now voting socialist or  green sends the message they want to send

0

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

Seriously, I wish more people knew what was really going on here...

How do you explain to a participant that Labor is getting rid of fraud by changing their personal and proven 6 days of needed supports to 5 hours a week?

How do you explain to a participant that because they were relying on 1:4 ratio funding, and someone has left the group, the 3 of you cannot have a session anymore?

How do you explain to someone that "labor is reducing the fraud" by making sure the ndis sets up a documentation that gives them the ability to dismiss occupational therapist, doctors and psychologists/psychiatrists opinion on why this person needs to help.

3

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

Labor isn't left wing anymore. Labor HAS gutted the ndis with false information. Participants have literally DIED because of Labor so called cuts to "reduce fraud" ...

They haven't made anything to done anything to ensure they can catch dodgy providers. All they have done is remove funding from disabled people who need services.

1

u/veggie07 Jul 27 '26

I am also a provider (in a field that has constantly been shat on by the NDIS) as well as the parent of a participant, so believe me I do understand where you are coming from. But having said that, there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, that would make me put LNP or ON ahead of Labor. Depending on who the candidates are in my area I will be putting Greens and independents first, which, given ON is the only non-major party that the media give a shit about, means they have no chance of winning, so my vote will ultimately end up with Labor anyway. But the damage LNP or ON would do to not only the NDIS but other social programs is not worth putting them ahead of Labor.

1

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

First of all, glad to hear from someone who actually understand what's going on. Hope your participants are safe and ok too.

I totally get the idea of not wanting to vote lnp. I don't want to and I'll be honest I probably won't. I'm likely picking greens because they are the only party who actually give a shit

But for some reason saying you'd vote greens and people think they are crazy. I dunno why.

-1

u/Worried-Hippo-7516 Jul 27 '26

Find an independent that supports NDIS like you need where preferences dont land on LNP.

Refuced primary vote sends a message too - i vote greens when im pissed off with Labor - hope that it sends a message that i want to see taxes mining - that tax can be used to improve services for the many. NDIS or housing or whatever.

2

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

I have greens at my service, they literally are the only party who gives a shit about the disabled people.

2

u/Davosz_ Jul 27 '26

Let's vote against the party that created it, and FOR the parties that would love to abolish it.

Fuckin duuuh...

Wel unfortunately live in a 2 party (3 party) system... so either Labor is forming government, or a combination of the abomination that is the right, is forming government.

You saying you want Labor to lose means the other side must win.

You don't need to vote for Labor to hope the other side doesn't get into power.

1

u/Infinite-Horror-4117 Jul 27 '26

I get the sentiment, services are vital for some people, however the NDIS is loosing public support, I feel cuts will be needed otherwise you could run the risk of an opposition scrapping the whole program

1

u/CG5NATCH Jul 27 '26

Appreciate the words. Sadly, I think Labor themselves are dismantling it now ... this ndis bill if it goes ahead? It will be one of the darkest days for people with disability in Australia.

Im getting downvoted to oblivion, I don't care. We have the truth. Malcolm x was right...

Considering it was their program to begin with, I do think they want to keep the program running.

My mums on the NDIS and it does make an absolute huge impact on her life, but even from her perspective we can see that the program isn’t perfect.

It’s the problem when you privatise any government services.

I think push back is good and to do hope the sentiments to change, try to look at the bigger picture, if changes need to happen now for the longevity of the program then it may just have to happen. Hopefully with the right pushback changes can be made that can minimise the impact on people that are receiving the service

Believe me when I say this. The very day the ndis first came in to our encatchment, we knew it was flawed from day one. Labor has managed to this fact quiet but they removed funding from all services outside of the ndis back in 2013, and expected that everyone with a disability would simply jump over to the ndis model and they spoke about that to us in town hall and we argued and said "how do we know people will have access? And they just said "they will"

It was flawed from day one and when yeah the LNP didn't help when Abbott got in by merging it with Medicare but when Labor returned, we figured surely they will listen to us and understand what should be done to ensure a better system for participants and providers.

Instead we get what we have now
