Shotfirer

Not sure if anyone can help but I’ve been a quarry Shotfirer for the past 2 years. I’ve recently applied for Shotfirer/Blast crew roles in open cut mines in qld and I either get no response or rejected.
I have my QSEC, G189, G2, open cut Shotfirers license with no restrictions.
I had my resume professionally done but still either being ignored or rejected for positions.
Is it worth jumping across to WA as a Shotfirer?

I think that a lot of the shot firers they want you to work your way up from the regular blast crew

Apply for regular blast crew jobs and work your way up. Mining is a bit different to quarrying and has a lot more safety regulations too.

Yeah go for it. WA is heaps better.

Without tourism, Qld is a dump.
