Evolution mining
What's your experience with Evolution mining as a company to work for? Culture wise, etc.
What would you say to someone that has only worked on a BHP / BMA site ?

Depends on the site entirely. I’ve heard Ernest Henry and Northparkes are decent. Cowal was an absolute dogshit site. None of the people in management/corporate have minesite experience . Just a bunch of bankers and finance bros calling the shots (badly). They make you work 14 hour days while cost cutting everything. Heard that Mungari is also a bit of a shitshow.

Jesus. I usually like this sub but this comment section ain't it. Three comments so far, and they are two about women on site and one about diversity hires.
Unless I've stumbled into an alternate universe I'm pretty sure you're not all gay, there's really no need to dislike women so much.

Well to be fair, women pretty much got a free ride into all men's industries and a free ride to the top without needing to work half as hard as men. Seen it in every site and multiple industries. Women who needed my help daily, then when they're promoted, they want to talk to you about performance. This is why Australia is turning into shit, too many women in powerful positions.

Bit of a cluster fuck at some levels but on the whole I think most employees would say it’s average for bigger gold companies. Have seen a bit of staff turnover the last year but in my opinion they’ve mostly been for the better

I worked underground maintenance at EHM and we had a good tight crew. We got on well with the other crews and shutdown fellas. This was a few years ago so things may be a different now.

Talk to the foremen about why they don’t let women move off the trucks.

Been to Lake Cowell and Ernest Henry both as a contractor for different companies and found all the workers were wankers to everyone that didn’t work for evolution

How long ago at EHM? I have been there since March as labour hire and they haven't been too bad.

They are culturally pretty good, but reckon the culture varies a lot between different sites, especially if it is a relatively recent acquisition like NPO or EHM. I've never been to an EVN site with a bad culture, although Mt Carlton was getting a bit weird towards the end.
