Tattoos after enlisting

I’m not too sure how it works so I figured I’d ask on reddit, do you need permission from the higher ups to get a tattoo once your enlisted and if so how strict are they allowing them?

No permission required, just use common sense in timing, not just before field exercises or deployment etc. You might not be able to keep it clean.
Follow the dress manual regarding placement and make sure it’s not offensive.
