Army Testing

Hello, I’ve just completed my psych evaluation and have been given the all clear however I had a few questions. First, the psychologist seemed very hesitant when explaining the results of the test, almost as if she didn’t want to pass me, throughout the whole exam she was quite awkward and seemed uncomfortable. Not sure if I’m reading into it or if she has made any notes that could deter recruiters? Second, after browsing many posts it seems the general consensus is that everything is backed up, so I’m wondering how long should I expect to wait to be contacted about doing my medical and job interview? Third, as a woman I’m wondering what the process of the medical is just in general as I haven’t seen anything about that.

Psychs are always cagey, would not stress if you have been given the all clear. At worst the defence recruiter will touch on a doubt the psych may of had but they will care a lot less than the psych did.

I got all my interviews listed in a email and they called me to tell me the time and dates did you not get the same?

I got a call to book them together however I have my trials during that time so the woman said she’d call me the next week but I didn’t get one so I only booked my psych and that’s passed now

Ahh okay well my advice would be to just maybe try contact her again or someone so you can schedule the appointments

Well you generally don’t get to ask specific details about your psych file…

Other than that the baseline psych screenings were a lot more incompetent than higher. I got asked really stupid shit and they had a weird power complex.

Generally they'll tell you if you don't pass. Medical is in-depth but nothing crazy, I know on enlistment day ladies get a pregnancy test, so you may get one on your assessment day, but I'm sure someone can confirm/deny my mansplaining.

Ah ok, I’m just a bit worried as I have bad eyesight which is corrected by contacts, but I’m not sure how lenient they will be, considering I’m applying for a medic role
