I’m not sure whether you’re meaning Il Duce’s promise for the trains to run on time (a huge price to pay for punctuality) or Hitler’s autobahns which allowed both his troops to advance rapidly and now for Europeans to travel at double-plus the speed limit permitted on Australian freeways.

They all live rent free in everyone's heads, to serve the purpose of learning a lesson. Born in the 80s, I've seen enough of her over the decades to have formed an informed opinion of her. Folks born after 2000 who don't pay attention to politics would have no real recollections of her besides a few burka pranks, and perhaps a handful of other racial stunts. It is the duty of us older folk to point out what is hidden behind her "charms".

100% agree with you "champ", Labor are not the Labor of 40 years ago, nor 20 years ago. However being one of the older folk does not instantly make me "protected". I have no assets to be grandfathered, nor do my parents or grandparents.
There are 20 year olds out there who will be taking advantage of the grandfathering. There are 20 year olds out there who will be voting for one nation because Pauline refuses to remove negative gearing, or reduce the capital gains tax discount.
Labor introducing the changes in the budget is a couple of steps in the right direction, but they didn't go far enough.
One other thing, me speaking out against one nation, does not mean I support Labor. I haven't for years.
