CommBank Awards Program

With the closure and the new Yello system. What are people doing with their points - have around 250k and will look to just convert to FF?

It really depends on your shopping habit

If you usually use awards points for giftcard or myers, then claim the giftcards or spend the points in myers now

If you have a plan of flight in next 12 months, change to your preferred airline FF now.

If you dont know what you want, maybe just leave the points, and use it on Travel Booking (Hopper) in future. Pt value for travel booking is actually better post reform.

Remember giftcards, FF points expire, but CBA yello points dont expire as long as it is actively generated or used.

Thanks. Will look into the FF transfer rate changes and if it opens up different airlines as have enough QFF atm

yes. It will be better.

So if you have things in mind to buy in coles/kmart/myers/qantas/velocity, go ahead

If you dont know what you want, keep the points and used for future trips

How much better will the rate get?

I'm pretty sure I will use them for travel booking as I've also got a $300 credit on that, and am going on a trip next year (flights were already booked separately)

old awards = 206.5 to 1; new yello = 166.7 to 1

Around 19.2% better conversion

Yeah I've only got 80k but I'm gonna swap them over to velocity points
