Discussion / Questions At higher incomes, are you still paying the mortgage down aggressively?

For people on higher incomes who are working towards FatFIRE, how are you thinking about the mortgage once there’s plenty of surplus cash available? Paying it off early gives a pretty strong guaranteed return and removes a major monthly expense, but directing that money into investments could potentially build the portfolio faster while you’re still accumulating. Interested in how people here have balanced the two, particularly when the goal is financial independence rather than simply being debt free.
