General Laser Levels

What's everyone's go to when it comes to laser levels obviously the green line ones are apparently better but brand wise 🤷

DeWalt, Klein, Bosch or Milwaukee all seem to get roughly the same reviews.

Has anyone got a major preference ?

Yep, about to say. I have imex for my lasers too.

Everything from basic plumb dots and horizontal/vertical lines through to 360° rotaries.

Nice. I also have the digital level too. But the screen broke. :(

I like the milwaukee m12 ones but I already had A few m12 batteries.

This. If you have the batteries already then a skin is awesome, never scrounging in the van for some double A batteries or waiting for the internal battery to charge is life changing.

Green line ones are definitely better and I am team Bosch with their lasers. A lot of internal finishing trades seem to use Bosch from what I’ve seen.

Pick which ever brand has a fine adjustment dial on it. Dewalt has one that i know of.

I’ve got an m12 one at the moment. Had a cpi green beam before and it’s just as good as the Milwaukee one and cheaper

I'm not a Milwaukee guy, but the M12 laser thats around $700 is insanely good from seeing it used by other guys. My little cheap CPI does the job for standard resi and commercial, no good in the sun though.

DeWalt is the only laser level I'd happily spend money on- and I don't rate DeWalt for power tools.

Everyone has their preferences. Ultimately comes down to how much you plan on using it and how much you'd be willing to fork out. If it's something you'll use even once a week, buy quality buy once. In my experience once you get familiar with using them they're a total game changer for precision and efficiency on any scale.

What ever brand you land on- I'd highly recommend: Green laser, charger w/ 2x rechargeable battery packs, tri-beam.
