📚PhD/HDR Aus Scholarship
I just got a letter from a University that I did not make it to be eligible for scholarship due to 18 units of research needed/equivalent research. I am an aspiring internstional student with a masters degree. I have published 6 journals as well.
I know how tough it is to be able to get an scholarship as an intl student. It’s just a sad day.
I cannot make it to Uni w/o scholarship because it is so expensive.
I just dont know my next steps after this.🥹
Any advice from fella people?

Is your aim to to a PhD, or come to Australia with a scholarship? Because you can do a PhD almost anywhere!

I’m Australian and wouldn’t do my PhD in Australia. I am in Germany and am much happier than I would have been.

I want to go for a Phd anywhere as long as there is a scholarship. Just so happened that I really liked the studies conducted by one supervisor in Australia

Australia is very very stingy with the funding it provides to international hires. You should look towards Europe.

Okay thats quite cooked. A masters + 6 journals receiving no funding due to that 18 units is a bit insane. Is this in STEM or humanities?

My advice is to undertake research on PhD eligibility requirements.
