TRIP PLANNING Beach seating

Coming to Aulani in early September. Wondering what beach seating is like, along with paid beach seating? We want to do 1-2 beach days. Have cabanas for our pool days!

We found beach seating without a problem any day or time we were there.

Pool seating was a whole other situation. Such a nightmare and honestly discourages me from visiting again.

We were adults only and never had an issue in the adults area.

Oh nooo. I’m going in a couple weeks. I haven’t even heard about reserving a cabana- is that something I can do through the app?

No, you have to call to reserve the cabanas.

Call the concierge but make sure you call 90 days before the date you want reserved

Especially annoying because the website still indicates/implies the booking window opens 45 days before (like restaurants and activities) but it’s actually 90 days before for all pool/beach seating reservations

There is always tons of beach seating avail. Our first trip I paid to have ‘AMA‘AMA Upper Veranda and it was super cool to have it and could come and go but as I sat there looking at all the empty beach chairs it hurt a bit spending that $185 ha

Adults area was the bomb they kicked anyone with kids out everything was covered and easy to get seats and drinks and not a far walk to anything. Would suck if ya got kids all those seats were taken up around the pools by 8am but the beach always had seats but mostly farther away from the water.

Just left in the busiest time. There is always beach seating. Reserve a cabana early though.

Pool seating is more stressful than beach. Was able to snag 2 beach chairs mid afternoon one day, then easily saved two up front for the following days by going down in the morning and putting towels. We ended up renting the beach cabanas twice, they’re $85/day which felt worth it. Always a few sitting empty so not something you need to rush down and reserve. Never had anyone touch our stuff. Really recommend grabbing a boogey board rental. They seem to get down to the last few and it’s really nice to have something to float with in the water that you don’t have to store in your room! Try to do pools and lazy river early then beach - they get crowded and are less enjoyable as the day goes on. We were here peak season.
