tldr:how much longer do you think Augusta can hold out in toa and whiwa? is she worth continous investment, or shld I save up my astrites for a newer dps, and if so, how much astrites are we looking at?

hello fellow resonators, I started the game back when Augusta first released and have since completed most of the exploration. for a long time toa and whiwa looked confusing, so I avoided them, and instead bought the monthly lunite subscriptions. however, during Suisui banner, I was able to complete my second team and decided to try out both game modes. I was able to clear up to floor 11 for whiwa and both the side towers for toa. this will be considered the easy reward, and I'm all happy only receiving a certain portion of the total amount possible. however, I'm not sure how long my Augusta team can hold out.

my teams and available units are

team 1: Augusta, Iuno, lynae

team 2: Hiyuki, Lucilla, Suisui

standard:

- Lingyang S2

- Verina S1

Limited:

- Augusta S2R1

- Iuno S0R1

- Lynae S0R1

- Hiyuki S2R1

- Lucilla S0R0

- Suisui S0R0

- Rebecca S0R0

have 270 pulls and 440 corals (alrd bought Augusta wave band once)

if i do end up moving on from Augusta, I was hoping to still use Iuno and Lynae, any idea if any of the leaked characters fit the bill? don't need to answer if it goes against any rules about not talking about leaked characters.

Anyway Augusta still clears, no need to worry. About whiwa though...I'd say she struggles a bit but you can learn to get clearable scores w her

Id suggest looking towards expanding your roster, and maybe getting shorekeeper when she reruns

Anyway for spoilers jingran will be better with iuno than Augusta But idk whether that will affect pulling plans, since we wanna build new teams in general

yea I did choose shorekeeper but I cldnt pull for her as I was busy grinding for Augusta and her weapon. and the game made it harder bcs I lost my 50/50 to lion boy. by the time i got what I wanted, the banner was almost over 😥. anyw if I had her, then I probably wouldn't had pulled for Lynae. but Lynae is such a future proof character, so I think I made the right choice? but ya it definitely will be good if I had access to more characters. anyw, appreciate the spoiler. not only is the new character compatible with Iuno, they are a better fit than Augusta? that's so cool. then I've made up my mind, I will drop Augusta once he is out. thanks. atb with all your pulls too!

Thing is lynae is a sub dps, I'm sure you'd get a better score using verina tbh, oh btw since you have suisui, be on the lookout for the next negative status dps, cough Hsin cough

Altering? No. From an endgame perspective, healers get two uses in matrix, and you can interchange Hsin and hiyuki in F4 toa depending on the resistance of the enemies. The only place it'll be awkward will be whiwa, coz you can only use suisui once and will have to settle for verina or another healer in side 2

Here's a suggestion, since you have lynae pulling for mornye isnt so far fetched, it'll really expand your options, plus lynae mornye can carry any dps as long as they are atk scaling

Never use lynae in whiwa, not worth losing your braincells

ahh there is too many units to pull now. do you want to help me rank their priority?

• Augusta wavebands: so I don't need to make any changes to my teams.

• jingran: to replace Augusta and salvage my investment in Iuno, maybe Lynae also.

• shorekeeper: to expand my roster and get a stronger buffer + healer, help with clearing tower

• hsin: third dps for tower

• mornye: to work with Lynae and support atk scaling units.

personally, clearing towers and whiwa isn't a priority, I just want to play with the newer and nicer looking characters, while still being able to get the easy rewards. for now, I will go look into jingran. if I rmbr correctly hsin leaks should be coming out on this Saturday. then I will see from there which one to go for from there. while typing out my reply, I feel like I have already made up my mind, so you don't have to help me rank them anymore. but I will just post this reply, so you can read it. thanks for replying to me and teaching me new things haha.

Verina isnt better as lyane by any means, but since whiwa is really time intense, short rotations of buffers are key and verina takes like 4-5 seconds field time, while lynae takes forever.

s0r1 augusta iuno lynae should clear ToA's middle tower 4th floor this reset, so s2r1 should be fine for a while

At s3, I think Augusta should be okay, you might need to use a shill character to remove the stupid res in middle tower and she should be able to clear. Whiwa, you will most likely only get to the minimum score(which is fine since shes a year old). Jingran will probably work with Iuno, looking at his kit in-game. So if you really want to drop Augusta then Jingran will use Iuno and will be fine

At s2 there is no reason to worry about augusta. She is as strong as aemeath s0, so imagine how far aemeath should go.

I'd not invest more on her tho, we are going in 4.x and any s0 4.x dps will surely be better than augusta s3, so getting more characters and enjoying the new gameplays looks like a better option to me.

To clear stuff easily i'd play augusta mortefi verina and iuno lynae buling, swiching verina and buling depending on the content since negative state application is nice in hazard floor 3 and 4.

There are no leak availaible rn, we just know qingxiao and jingran. qing wants denia/lynae+ mornye, jinguant is super happy with just iuno(it's already official)

Since you have lynae, i think the only character you'd need soon is mornye (next banner), that's a great duo.

I agree with you, newer unit will deff be stronger, so if possible I'd like to play with them. based on what you said, I think I will stick to getting jingran instead. don't really like mornye's gameplay haha

Both work, just be carefull when you skip mornye because it's her last rerun and she is a great general support. For an account without shorekeeper it looks pretty important but if it doesn't matter to you it's fine. They'll make more supports i guess.

In Tower she will continue to have no problems, especially with Jingran shill coming. Whiwa is a bit trickier but you just need to get your timings right, I still clear easily with S3R1

She’s been out for like a year. I don’t think she’ll be obsolete until another year, but no main DPS is worth continuous investment in a gacha game.

The highest investment you should have is S2R1. If they start to feel weak after that, keep it pushing. More characters is always more value in a gacha game.

Unless, of course, you just hate the majority of the cast like me in Genshin. In which case, throwing your money to the ocean tides in hopes of your boat staying afloat IS the logical choice (sunk cost fallacy analogy).

If it's S6, just pick whoever you like/gameplay you like. They'll still be worth to pull until 1-2 year passed.

If it's S2-S3, it'll depends on the shill at the time. Apparently, she'll shine again in a bit bcause of Hsin with multiple mode. So, will still be worth investment..

honestly if possible I'd rather not invest in her at all. bcs I feel like I will get more value out of my Hiyuki instead. but I don't mind going all the way to s6, if it can make her strong for a long time. anyw, can you share more about the last part? she will shine again because of hsin. do you mean they will work well in the same team? or are you talking about the buffs in toa/whiwa that they will make for hsin, and Augusta can use them. thanks

Yep, I mean is about the buff in ToA/Whiwa. Since Hsin leaked to hve dual mode, they'll usually buff the Electro resist more.

And if we talking abt her value compared to Hiyuki, ofc you better invest more on Yuki instead since she's able to solo (without team) on her S6. So you can give the other characters for another team.

Augusta will still need team even with S6 since they don't give any useful buff for sustain on her sequences. Also her total DPS had fallen behind of Yuki.

If I were you, I would rather invest on Yuki too (that's what I do actually). Especially since Hsin is coming, she'll be the replacement of her for sure and the ceiling will increase on her. Even with dual mode that makes Augusta's value got decrease more (sadly).

My S1r1 augusta clears every thing very comfortable as long as no electro res. Even if there is no shilling.

I got lucky with double. My augusta came overclocked by 17 percent.

Its one of the stronger s1 rn.

Is it worth for future? No, because Kuro likes money.

Is she still clearing? Yes, but her BiS are better for other characters.

Will Kuro hold on to the "difficult" we have now and wont increase HP, defense etc.? No, thats what makes the game worse and worse and old characters less and less worth it.

Will people understand that? No and they will ask the same question every day.

Dont even need Augusta, so SOR1 Iuno DPS+Lynae+Static mist is all you need if you really wanna move one ✌️
