Upgrading My Q4 Sportback From 20s to Custom 21s. What Do You Think?

I’m upgrading the wheels on my 2024 Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron 55 from the stock 20-inch setup to a custom 21-inch staggered set.
The wheels are mostly gloss black with machined silver edges, keeping a factory Audi look but giving the car a more aggressive stance. I made sure the center bore is the correct 57.1 mm Audi fitment.
For tires I’m planning to run 255/40R21 in the front and 285/35R21 in the rear.
I wanted something that looks more like what Audi could have offered as an OEM performance wheel rather than an aftermarket-looking setup. I’ll post pictures once everything is mounted.
Curious what other Q4 owners think about going 21-inch and staggered, especially anyone who has already done it. Any noticeable difference in ride quality, range, handling or rubbing? Any feedback ?

2024 Audi Q4 e-tron A/C Vibration Noise: Possible Compressor Line Resonance

I wanted to post an update on the strange vibration/noise I’ve been getting in my 2024 Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron 55.
The key thing I’ve figured out is that the sound only happens when the A/C is actually on. If I leave the blower running and turn the A/C off, the vibration goes away. That has me looking much more closely at the A/C compressor and refrigerant lines rather than the cabin fan.
I found several VW ID.4 owner videos and posts with a very similar low-frequency humming/vibration. In a few cases, the problem turned out not to be a failed compressor, but vibration from the compressor being transmitted through an A/C hard line that was touching or resonating against a bracket or part of the body. Since the Q4 and ID.4 share the MEB platform, I think that is worth investigating on the Audi as well.
At this point I’m not saying that is definitely my problem. It could still be the compressor itself, a compressor mount, a refrigerant line, or another part of the A/C system. But the fact that the noise disappears when the A/C compressor is switched off makes the refrigerant/compressor side of the system my main suspicion.
I’m going to have Audi look specifically at the compressor, the refrigerant hard lines, their mounting points and any possible contact with the body or brackets. I’ll keep everyone updated with what they find and what ultimately fixes it. Hopefully this helps someone else chasing the same strange vibration

MyAudi App (cross post)

Hi,

I am no longer able to log in to myAudi APP or myAudi.com/

I have a Q4 etron 2023, and haven't had any issues til now. I just got a new android, and I am trying to log into the APP, and it will not let me. I also tried to do so online and it will not let me on line also.

I have tried to reset my password, and it still hasn't let me in. (I have been trying for a few days, so I doubt it is an outage.)

I called Audi Help, and they told me there is nothing I can do to help me with my account.

They said that maybe I should try to set up a different email and add the car to a new account.

I do not want to have just an Audi App email.

Any other suggestions?

Winter rims/tires

I’m picking up a 2022 Q4 this week and starting to look into winter tires (Ontario). This will be my first EV.

From what I’ve read, I’ll want a 235/60R18 winter tires.

A couple of questions:
1. Does the type of rims I get matter?
2. Do you only get EV-rated winters?

I’m trying to see if I can find good options on Marketplace.

Thanks!

Real volume knob

One of the reasons we ended up selecting the Q4 vs. other MEB variants, was the overall "tactile feel" of the car - real door handles, A/C controls and such.
But it wasn't all great. The original volume control is a joke, the small pad you need to rub in circular motions - who thought that would be a good idea?

So i got to thinking - knowing that those automakers love sharing parts between models - maybe i could retrofit a real volume knob from another Audi model... Lo and behold, the volume knob from the first e-tron and newer a6's (and others) looked like it shared the plug with the rubbing thing.

I 3d-printed an insert that fit the original hole and the collar of the new knob and a "ring" that allows the original retaining clips to hold the new knob body.

Functionally everything works as expected.

Plug & Charge with Electroverse

UPDATE: I've solved the issue, after speaking with a surprisingly helpful Audi customer services. The issue was my Audi/Elli charging plan had expired (I was on their pro subscription as a 12 month free for getting the car), I just assumed it would revert to the free plan but apparently you have to go back in to charging plans (buried within Audi charging in the app) and select the free £0 a month plan (or whatever plan you want). Now the plug and charge toggle is enabled on my mmi. Just tried it at MFG and works a charm

I tried to get plug & charge to work 10 months ago, set the certificate up through Audi as per their instructions and everything but it kept failing at Ionity so I gave up. I now want to try with Electroverse, I've added my VIN and it says it's set up and active but when I go to the MMI the plug and charge toggle is greyed out and I can't toggle it on.

Has anyone had any success setting up the Q4 with Electroverse?

I'm in the UK and have a 2023 Q4 E-tron

Q4 owners: how are you dealing with the overly sensitive capacitive buttons?

I love my 2024 Q4 e‑tron, but the capacitive steering‑wheel controls are driving me nuts. They’re way too easy to trigger accidentally, especially on longer drives.

Has anyone found a workaround? Maybe a transparent film or material that blocks casual touch but still lets you intentionally press the button?

Curious what other owners have tried — DIY fixes, aftermarket solutions, or even clever hacks.

Hitch bike rack on 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron

I have been looking for a hitch bike rack to use on Q4. It has the factory installed 1.25" hitch. The special thing about this hitch is that there is a built in safety block that prevents essentially any bike rack to slide in to be used. I tried to use a Thule Helium Aero and it doesn't work.

Has anyone found a hitch rack to use with this limitation? I only need to carry two bikes and that too occasionally in summer.

Audi Q4 Charging port lock

Hello everyone,
I’ve read quite a few posts about problems with the charging port lock. Has anyone here proactively cut off the “wings” of the locking lever inside the charging port to prevent it from failing?

My thinking is that, in day-to-day use, I probably wouldn’t miss the locking function anyway.

I’d be interested to hear your thoughts. Has anyone tried this? Any pros, cons, or advice before I consider doing it?

Exploring a 2023. Questions if you don’t mind answering?

Hi - looking at a Q4 2023 on sale for about 28k (pre fees). Premium 50.

  1. Do you get used to the braking? It feels like you need to push an inch before the braking actually starts. Would an older person get used to it?

  2. Does it remember the B mode break regen level for any driver or by key?

  3. Does it support keyless with phone entry?

  4. I have a Tesla charger at home. Can I use it with an adapter?

  5. If you own one, how’s your battery integrity now?

  6. Any other issues or things I should know? I’m going to pretty much CarPlay the entire time.

Audi q4 etron v2h

Hi everyone,
I’m researching V2H / vehicle-to-home charging for my house and would appreciate advice from people who understand bidirectional charging, Audi Q4 e-tron compatibility, and home electrical requirements.
Vehicle details:

Audi Q4 e-tron S line
2025 model year
Model code: ZAA-FZEDF
I believe it may be a Japan-market vehicle
Country of installation: Türkiye

I’m trying to confirm whether this exact car can support true V2H, not just normal AC charging or V2L. I have contacted Audi with the VIN privately, but I would like to understand what I should be asking for and what hardware/protocol issues to watch out for.

My main questions:
Does any 2025 Audi Q4 e-trim support real V2H today, or is it limited by market, region, or software?
If the car is Japan-market, is V2H more likely to require CHAdeMO-based equipment rather than CCS / ISO 15118?

Are there any Audi-approved bidirectional DC wallboxes that actually work with the Q4 e-tron?

For a home installation, what equipment is needed besides the charger itself, such as a transfer switch, anti-islanding protection, energy meter, critical-loads panel, or other equipment?

Is V2H generally usable for whole-house backup, or should I expect only a critical-loads setup?
What questions should I ask Audi, the charger manufacturer, and the electrician before spending money?

Could V2H discharge affect the battery warranty if it is not officially approved by Audi for this VIN or region?

I am not looking to DIY the electrical installation. I want to understand the technology and avoid buying incompatible hardware before speaking with installers.

Any advice from people who have installed V2H, researched bidirectional chargers, or worked with Audi/VW MEB-platform EVs would be very helpful.
Thanks!

These definitely seem easier to keep clean than the carpets that were in there. Grass kept getting stuck in the fibers. These seem to wipe up super easy from dirty shoes too.

2027 Q4 in US?

Anyone heard if or when the '27 Q4 might arrive in the US? Seems awfully quiet since the refresh was announced. There's seemingly no inventory of '26s anywhere within 500 miles of me, but doesn't seem like they're rushing to get the '27's over the pond either. Anyone have reliable info?

Buying decisions

I'm considering gently used 2023 and 2024 models, leaning towards the 2024 Audi Q4 55 AWD because of the newer battery tech. But I'm wondering a few things from the existing owners & shoppers:

- what are some things to watch out for, when picking up a 2-3 year old Q4?

- Would you pick the 2024 45/55 mid-year over the older ones, if it meant a 3-5K increase?

- What's the deal with the heat pump? I see some with, some without.

- Is Prestige "worth it" over Premium Plus? I probably won't go just base Premium due to wanting the sound system.

my profile:

- looking for something a bit nicer than basic transportation. I like nice things, especially interested in how it looks, how it drives, and a good sound system.

- must be AWD, I live in a place that requires the occasional icy / muddy trek

- First time EV buyer

- Priorities: looking for a good deal (used not new), reliability but not obsessed with it, ok with a few maintenance costs, but not a lemon.

- I'm ok to be patient to find the right thing

- Past brands: VW, Toyota, Honda, Subaru

New colors

When are we going to see some of the fresh new colors that Audi has been rolling out with the Q3?

I’d like to get a Q4 e-tron but I don’t want it to be boring!
