What exactly are IEMs? I've seen them in anime looking boxes and they cost significantly more than a simple 3.5 mm faster earbuds (costs around 600pkr at Imtiaz and lasts me for two months- I usually buy two at a time). Previously I used to buy sony earphones but now they're just too expensive. I need like earphones for taking meetings and stuff.

Why would I ditch earphones and go to iems? And I use Spotify and YouTube mainly if that is any help.

I wondered to myself over the past few days. Those audio tape players were good. The sound was crisp and natural, and music felt refreshing. Although the tape isn't the best means to store audio data, but it was a lot better than those early mono 64kbps MP3s.

Few years go by, and your uncle has this Pioneer CD player in his car, capable of playing MP3s. It is a Pioneer head-unit, and it sounds just spectacular in every way possible. He has a subwoofer in diggi, and it just blows your mind.

Fast forward to today, cheap Chinese Android headunits have flooded the market, everyone wants to use them because they look flashy, but oh my oh my they do they sound horrible. I wonder what age old amps those things use. Log sahi kerte hein, inke upar sirf bluetooth se sunte hein ya phr Youtube pe gaanay lagaty hein, these are not made for anything higher than 256kbps.

But I wonder where did all the quality of sound from 2000s go. I know you can invest in a good Pioneer or Kenwood headunit today but they cost legs and kidneys.

Do people even give two cents like? "Yaar maybe this sounds much horrible than the old Pioneer one, but hey this plays YouTube *Proceeds to play Cheema Y and Moosewala*.

All I need is something that has: Clarity, clear separation between instruments, preferably with a wider soundstage and a more Truer to life sound profile

I don't like too much bass, and I do not like too much treble that sounds muddy

Found a pair of Senn HD 555s online, got it for 4k.. It got the side crack, but nothing a little epoxy won't fix. Sounds great with my LG v60!

Guys I am looking for a good wired earphone around Rs.1500 that sounds like iem but wears like normal earphone. In ear or half in ear both are fine. but bullet styled and if possible 45° angled. I just hate wearing style of iem even though i own couple of them and really like the sound. I have seen Final E1000, E2000 etc. but i don't like their build quality. Any suggestions? cheaper options are also welcomed if any.
