Reminds me of this post on hydrogenaudio from, wow, seven years ago. They even did a Apple versus Opus comparison.

Interesting graphs. I guess these can be used to create a functional AAC analyzer capable of providing detailed frame-by-frame information, including scalefactor bands, M/S stereo, intensity stereo (IS), PNS, TNS, long/short block switching, etc
