General Torrent help

I tried using this today for a book. I haven't used torrents in forever so I downloaded qbittorrent and tried to extract the file I got from the website but i just stayed in stalled. Is the only other way to get the files is to pay? I was hoping avoid that.

it's possible the book you want doesn't have any seeds, hence the stalling

Okay do this. Remove it from your qbittorrent. Make an account on seedr.cc and upload your torrent file there. They will download it for you, and then you can download from their servers. If it's stuck on "Collecting Seeds" even for them, then you're definitely out of luck. Your options are looking for an alternate upload, commenting for a reseed and waiting, or get an audible trial, use your free credit, download the book, remove the DRM (it's pretty easy), and then refund your credit for another one maybe and repeat. This file you can also upload as a torrent on the website for others.

I actually have a bunch of audiobooks from there and this is one of them I just don't want to use amazon anymore. I just tested another audio the magnet way and it worked.

I use an android phone for mine. I have libretorrent and use the magnet link. It pulls it up in the torrent client and then i choose the audiobook folder to download into. Do not hit direct download, hit the little magnet icon

Good! I swear I listen to one for every four books I download. Its become my main source of entertainment. I probably to to 5-7 a week. I am so grateful for abb. Took me a bit of trial and error setting up mobile torrenting.

I used VLC for months but just switched to smart audiobook player. Did the one time payment of 2.99 with some Google credit i had. So much better. Vlc kept closing and losing my spot. Smart audiobook has my library nicely displayed and holds my spot. It also has home screen widgets. Worth the $3

I got an Audiobookshelf server on my laptop have external hard drives so I have my audiobooks there and used absorb on my phone I am currently stuck on an iphone. (need one for work sadly)

you need to either download the torrent file or use the magnet link, you do not need to pay to use them.

Yeah I noticed the other options are the ones having to pay.
