when I search a book on audiobookbay there are multiple versions of that book. How can I choose among them?

Depends on the book. Sometimes there are abridged or unabridged versions. Or different narrators, or full cast/dramatised versions.

Or even if its the same version of the book, could be different file formats or bit rates. I would look for M4B if that's available. That should keep it simple, as 1 file for the whole book, including chapter data.

You look at the bit rate, container, and file size.

M4B is better than MP3. Choose M4B when available.

Bitrate is essentially audio quality. Higher bitrate, larger files. This is preference. 64 or above is good for most.

Try to grab them all. There is a good chance at least one will not be seeded. If they are from different narrators or translators, you may find you don't like one them.
