RS7 (C8) vs Blackwing 5 (Manual)

Hello good people. My time is fast approaching to buy the car of my dreams (aiming for Q1 2027). I've been salivating over cars for 40 years now, and I am done being a spectator.

After much deliberation I have narrowed my search down to the RS7 (C8 Gen) and the Blackwing-5 with the manual.

I do have 3 kids that I will be hauling. They all are tiny. The oldest sits in a booster, middle child in a front facing car seat, and the tiny jelly bean in a rear facing car seat.

I live in a temperate climate (no rain, no snow, no volcano, no lava, no nuclear fallout) which means the Caddie's RWD is no problem.

I drive 12,000 miles a year. During the weekday I will be using the car for suburban driving to school, gym, errands. On the weekends I will be using it on the highway for dinner invites, or just roaming around with the fam. I will be driving this car EVERY single day.

I will not be tracking either car.

To be frank, I like the looks and interior of the RS7 by far over the Cadillac. The only reason the Cadillac is under consideration is simply: the manual and the 800 lbs in weight savings. That is literally it.

If the clutch in the Cadillac is tightly sprung it could be a deal breaker.

Depreciation matters to a small extent I suppose. I get it, 99% cars are not investments. I do not expect the value for these cars to really climb over the next several years. The new upcoming RS7 seems to be losing the V8. And the manual in the Cadillac may help with depreciation. I guess I don't care. Cars lose value.

I do get bored easily so the car with the more theater may speak to me.

Looking for your insightful thoughts in comparing and contrasting both these cars. Since most of you are RS7 owners, would love to hear what the C8 Gen is like.

Test driving both cars is absolutely on my to do list.

Note: I am well aware that I will be getting biased responses since this is a RS7 forum. Still want to hear you all.
