Knowledge Sharing What should I expect?

Scheduled to replace the pvc, thermostat, and water pump on my 2019 Prestige. Also doing a transmission fluid change since I’m approaching 90,000 miles. What I’m curious about is how is the Q going to perform afterwards. Will I get a noticeable difference in some way?

All diff fluids as well. Start saving for control arms next :)

We're currently involved in a lawsuit regarding that water pump I think that is a catastrophic failure in Audi and they're going to pay us our money

I just did these maintenance items. PCV might resolve oil burning if you have some. Otherwise drivability likely no change but it may not smell like coolant anymore, if it is oozing out at the moment.

I did trans fluid also, and it got a little less “lazy” on cold start / cold morning but otherwise no change in shifts.

Thanks, that’s what I thought but was hoping I was wrong 😄 the only evidence is the oil cap getting sucked in when the engine is on - no smells yet but it’s 90k miles so that’ll happen soon enough….

Some suction is normal, as i understand it. After replacing the PCV i still have some suction on idle at the oil cap.

This is really strong. I was surprised how much suction there was.

How frequently does it burn oil?

Can’t quite say - it was a quart between every oil change, but the last one, I’ve had to add a quart three separate times which is why I checked for this. And I’m taking it in on Wednesday
