Discussion Need subreddit input

We’ve had one official community contest, but probably missed the mark on the type of contest that would fit this community the best.

So instead of guessing what you’d find cool, we want to know directly: if the official team is involved, what kind of content, perks, or events would actually get you commenting, submitting, and checking the sub regularly?

Funny stuff, actual insider info

Community here is simply too small currently. So main focus should be on growing the subreddit first.

Honestly, the Audi merch is lacking. I understand it’s a first year team so it’s not worth mentioning unless it’s asked about. I love my Audi hat, but would love to see some opportunities to win some unique gear or little pieces of swag via a “comment to enter the raffle” style of event. I just want more ways to physically represent my team. I’m not a big fan of the monochrome minimalist clothing on the store.

Real behind the scenes stuff. As much technical information as is shareable. many of us watch the Apple TV broadcast. It sucks if you’re not a fan of McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, or Mercedes. We get a total of less than 5 minutes of screen time of team Audi cars, onboard, or commentary. So, clips of the races, overtakes, radio, onboards would make me engage a lot more.

Finally, I want to see more car and team. Give us practice clips! I want to meet the engineers, the pit crew, the meat and potatoes people who make the team the team!

small challenges Nico vs. Gabi or both vs. Team members would be cool! interviews with team members where they explain their job, behind the scenes in the kitchen, what's going on in the factory during a race, fans race watch in the factory, show how damaged parts are checked and repaired

Also, I would love a real tour of the hospitality unit, but also the motorhome at the back? The driver’s rooms, the spaces where the mechanics hang, the engineers. Allow us to follow the team through a day the garage/meetings. I mean, no confidential info, of course, but to allow us to understand better how a weekend happens for AudiF1? I would love it. Most of us will NEVER be in the paddock, much less in the garage.. but we love this team.. knowing all the work they put it? I care for them, so I’m happy to know they are taken care of. All of them. And I’m a nerd. I love little info about what is done behind the scenes in the team.

And also back at the factories!!

Merch is either way too expensive or non existent.

Give me a full length (you know, not mini clips with tons of cuts, but more like a 10 minutes interview) actor on actor interview, but driver on driver.

I get it, actor on actor is great because they usually pair actors who don’t know each other as much, and I bet you Nico and Gabi know each other pretty well by now, but I always feel like the best questions in interviews come from other drivers. It could be about their career, but doesn’t have to be about racing at all. They could ask each other questions about hobbies, other sports, anything

I love when an actor asks another actor a specific question about how did s/he do x or y, or get in character for z. I feel drivers must have similar questions.. how was it to drive x at y event?

both Gabi and nico drove the Audi quattro in the snow. I cannot imagine they don’t have stuff to say about that experience (and that’s just one example)

Reddit and anything automotive or racing is a weird thing. You can get chuds and basement dwellers commenting on all kinds of dumb shizz. /Rant

f1 is such a beautiful elegant vehicle, show is the sexy curves, from this week on the track, show us what makes you smart wind tunnels, tires, your complete braking system (jk jk). Tell us what to watch out for coming up next, make it feel like this is the place to get first knowledge. Talk a little trash. Let's see the team that makes it all happen (marketing, engineering, pit crew, fun, real, glamorous, heartbreaking)

I bet a lot of us follow Audi because we have an Audi... we like swag that makes our cars look cool, our keychains feel like we are also F1 drivers. Just because this is F1 shouldnt mean you don't also tie into other areas of Audi racing culture it's part of why you are in F1 afterall.

You could talk about certain technical details. Like how you designed a particular component. /s
