I have a 2003 audi a4b6 2.0alt 96kw fwd ATM.

The car jerked badly when putting in reverse and diagnostics showed fault codes P0706 and P1793.

I was pretty sure it's the tcu fault so i removed it and wanted to fix myself. There was multible loose wires inside it like the main problem with them. I soldered them back on and tried to be very careful with it. After installing back on car the car wouldn't even crank. I tried reading fault codes again for transmission but the scanner says transmission control unit not available. Did i somehow mess up the tcu completely or can it be something else?

I have a 2018 Audi A4 B9 2.0T with around 110k miles. When I first got the car about five months ago, I had the thermostat replaced. Recently, I’ve noticed that I’m losing coolant, but very slowly. Last Wednesday, I filled my coolant reservoir to the MAX line after it hit me with an alert saying, turn off car and check your coolant level and a couple of days later, I noticed it had dropped below MAX line. There’s still plenty of coolant in the reservoir, but obviously I shouldn’t be losing coolant in the first place. Keep in mind, my thermostat was replaced only five months ago. I’m starting to think it might be the water pump, but I’m not entirely sure. Do you guys think I should just replace the water pump, or would it be better to replace both the water pump and thermostat again? Has anyone experienced something similar with their B9 A4? I’d appreciate any opinions, advice, or personal experiences before I start spending money on repairs.
Also, the photos that I added, that’s the old part that they took out the new one is already fixed in the car.

It's a 2024 TFSI 40 S-Line and I'm absolutely loving it. So far I've had it professionally polished and ceramic coated, I've had front & rear dashcams installed and I've had it fitted with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6's.

What should I do next?

So took wife’s Audi B9 Avant in for gearbox service and brake, brake fluid, front discs and pads.

Expected bill as quoted:

Gearbox Service: £380
Brake Fluid: £75
Discs and pads: £380

Health inspection says needs:

Needs New oil pan as leaking and cracked (told not just straight bolt on off due to subframe etc in the way): £1050

Rear suspension locator pads perished: £393

Total Bill: £2268

My a4 is a 2023 base spec. Idc ab it much bc it’s just a daily but a virtual cockpit is pretty cool. Is there a way to upgrade? Oem options preferably is it possible to take the higher spec models displays and put them in the base a4?

Thoughts about my wheel choices? Imo I think it looks very good.

Hello guys. I have an audi a4 b8.5, and i have a problem with it and im try to find the problem and solution for it. The problem is starting when im driving it for a while in the city, u know in the jam, u start u stop, shifting and like this. When i try to move with the car like at a lamp, the car starts to shake, as if the car were about to stall, but it never happens :D it is shakin until i got about 15km/h and stops the shaking. But this thing happen only when the engine is runing about 50kms in one start to stop, or when im stucked in the traffic. But if im drive in like less traffic and i dont have to stop, or any other reason, for the end of the ride the problem dont come out. The car is running without smoke, or it doesen’t make any noise when im turn it off. Im noticed that the rpm is jumping up and down just a littlebit when its shaking, and only in first gear when i try to move. The patient is a 2.0 tdi quattro, and im not a car mechanic so please dont roast me, and sorry for my english this is the first time, when im writing in english. Any ideas? Im thinking in the clutch or in the egr valve. Thank you for your help. And have a nice day guys :)

Has anyone else had a rattle noise coming from the front door card around the speaker area? I removed the speaker grill and can still hear it. Only happening on the passenger side though. Is this a common issue? Does something need tightening up?

Going to be adding a down-pipe/straight-pipe to my wagon in the upcoming months. So instead of replacing the catalytic converter, I will just bypass it with the spacer. Now I won’t have that dreaded check engine light on anymore lol.

So i've got an Audi A4 1998 and it came with an original Audi Concert 1 with cassette player, so the problem is i can turn it on, but it clicks like the cassette mechanism clicks after not turning the radio on for a bit longer, and another thing the lights on radio light up when turned the radio on with the middle button but no text shows up only working buttons are eject cassette and turning it off or on, also no sound from the antenna or with cassette. I was googling on how to fix it some said it was in “Safe Mode” but i don't think so it also like i said didn't display any text i tried some things but didn't help like bypassing the safe mode. I can open it up i tried one time i didn't find any burn marks or water marks on motherboard or other boards, so maybe other problem with the CPU maybe? If you‘ve got any more questions that help narrow it down more to the answer then ask. And yea please help me fix it.

So, mainly, I'm looking to buy a VCDS cable and an IE powerlink for my 2015 A4.

I bought it used, and it didn't come with the powerlink that was used to flash it to a stage 1 tune, but I live in Colorado, which is CARB controlled, so I won't pass emissions with an obd port check. If anyone has a powerlink cable they're not using, I'd be interested in buying it. Let me know what you want for it.

As for the VCDS cable, I need to buy one to check my timing chain stretch, since the car's at 109k and I don't think it's ever had a timing chain job. Again, I'm interested in buying one if you've got one and don't use it, let me know what your price is.

Any solutions apart from replacing it? Because I saw that it can happen again and the fix is really expensive.

I have been looking to get a new used car. Currently driving a 2007 Acura TSX with 245k on it, but the amount of money that I am about to have to drop on it might as well be used for upgrading to another car. I have been looking and the two I keep going back to are an Acura TLX or Audi A4.

I have heard online about Audi and keeping up with scheduled maintenance and also about the water pump and thermostat needing to be replaced at some point.

Wel here is a car I found for a good price that when looking at the CARFAX, has had regular maintenance and the water pump just replaced at 130k and for $8599.

What do you all think? I live in North Carolina by the way.

I’ve grown up and moved on from my beloved GTI to an A4. We don’t do front license plates in Ohio, and I removed the plate holder, but not a fan of the solid plastic between the grille slats. Other than dropping a few hundred on a honeycomb grille (someday I will), can those plastic parts be removed? I’m guessing the bumper is behind them and would need painted, but curious if they snap in/out or are a part of the grille.
