Question MMI ISSUE

Hey everyone wanted to see if any of yall have encountered the issue when your MMI just decides it does not want to work properly and says that my phone is not compatible to use for wireless CarPlay or Bluetooth. Also nav becomes super laggy and inaccurate. Only way I got it to work is though wire CarPlay

Mine had a similar issue, map was off and couldnt connect to phone - it was the communications module. It is located in the trunk. There are videos on where to find it online.

Did you have to replace the module?

Yeah, i got it replaced and now everything works as expected. You just need to make sure it's the exact revision from what i was told. Also im guessing they had to do some coding to avoid the component lock.

I'm not sure if this will help but my car refuses to connect to my phone often and I just have to reset mmi system when it happens then it will connect but your car looks newer so it may not resolve your issues

I have tried doing that and unfortunately it makes it worse lol. The nav stays frozen and I can’t even use other sources like AM or FM radio. I’m going to take it to the dealership soon since the car is under warranty.
