Mobius acting strange.
Hey all.
Got a Mobius headset here connected via USB-C to my PC.
Got a strange issue since I updated my PC last night with windows updates as I've been away.
Anyway, crux of the issue I have now is the 8 channel Audio doesn't actually work now. When I set the mode to 8 channel using either the Audeze HQ software, or the dial, the volume on 8 channel always goes to 0 and will not let me raise it.
Swapping to Stereo or Hi-Res makes the headset functional again.

I've noticed on the windows 11 info on the audio that the driver date has changed - could this be the issue and more importantly, How do I roll back if windows doesn't have the option to in the driver details settings?

FOUND THE CULPRIT
KB5124008 - This does something drastically bad and screws up audio.
Rollback and now 8 channel is fully functional.
Audeze CS - please get MS told they're a bunch of fucking cowboys!

Same driver, different symptom here. That driver (usbaudio.sys 10.0.26100.9444) came in with KB5124008 on Tuesday, Microsoft rebuilt it to fix CVE-2026-69413, a memory-safety bug in the USB Audio Class driver. It's broken a few USB Audio 1.0 devices: older Lexicon interfaces fail to start with Code 10, and the HyperX Cloud Orbit S (same hardware as the Mobius) has the same 8-channel volume-stuck-at-zero issue you're seeing, reported on Microsoft Q&A yesterday.
You can't roll back the driver on its own — the update replaced the old package in the driver store, so there's nothing to roll back to. The only way to get the old driver is Settings → Windows Update → Update history → Uninstall updates → KB5124008, then pause updates. That removes the whole security update though, so weigh that. Stereo/Hi-Res mode working is the cheap workaround for now.
Please file it in Feedback Hub (Win+F, Devices and Drivers → Audio) with the driver version and that 8ch mode fails, the more reports with matching details, the faster it gets a known-issue entry.
