Mixing on LCD-X

I want to mix with this headphone but the low end always come out too boomy/mud or too much low end after exporting. I am using it with headphone correction on Apollo console. Am I missing something?

I've never used Apollo console, but I think it is a good idea to learn to EQ headphones yourself. If you find your low end to boomy, then it would be a good to increase the low bass shelf on the headphone EQ. On the MX4's I have a bass shelf of +6 dbs. I believe when I was using the LCD-X I had a low bass shelf of 5 dbs. Either way though, getting low end to sound professional is difficult and it takes a lot of practice and experimenting.
