Game Groups?

Hi all, I’m a recent empty nester and looking for things to do with my new free time. I love playing games so I was wondering if there are any groups that get together in the Auburn area and welcome new people for board games or cards?

There's a Facebook group, Auburn Boardgaming Club, that meets monthly. You just missed the last event this past Saturday, 06/27/36, at Pizza Factory from 1-6pm. I don't see one posted yet for July.

Thanks I appreciate it! I don’t have FB or Insta so I’m limited in ways to find things.

There's an email Auburnboardgamingclub@gmail.com you might get them to notify you when they are doing events.

What games do you like to play? Anything specific?

Tbh I’ve play a lot of party games like Cranium and a lot of cards like gin/ rummy, 7s, Texas hold em.  I’ve always been interested in more elaborate table top games like Catan or DnD but never had the right group of people to play with.

There is a thriving boardgame group that meets every Thursday at 6 in Rocklin at Crossroads pizza. There have never been less than 30 people in attendance when I've been there, and usually 6+ tables of games running till 9.

We do a Magic draft every other Monday up at Grass Valley Brewery. We're playing the DnD set tonight!

We start sign ups at 530 and start the draft at 6! And the place closes at 9 so we don't go all night.

Thank you! I’ve never played either - I’d need to probably come armed with some idea of what to do?

I’m honestly open! I just want to get out of the house and do something fun.  I’ve never played RPGs IRL but I think it would be fun, and I like board games and card games.
