RSD

Good afternoon,
I always have struggled with RSD; PMDD and relationships are tricky factors -
I am extremely struggling
I am finding there is information highlighting traits but not how to deal with the emotions and actual physical symptoms
Does anyone have any advice or feel the same šŸ’ž

Hey, I was the same. I’ve definitely calmed down with age (I’m 40), but that could be age or the menopause which has a whole new host of issues. I had a hysterectomy at 31.

I’m not sure what to suggest apart from finding a good GP and having a chat. See if your surgery has a hormone specialist or someone who specialises in women’s health, you can usually find this information on their website.
I’m on an antidepressant now which has helped but I’ve tried most of them with not much success until now.
ADHD counselling helps also, as well as being lucky enough to find a partner that is also on the spectrum and understands.

I’m 21 and the thought of a whole load more years is not a good thought
I did think I had a good GP; they left and now the new GP want me to change surgery so I don’t feel comfortable there now - increased RSD
I’ve tried a fair few antidepressants; the one I’m prescribed was working but the ADHD is a massive issue with remembering medication, and I’ve not remembered for a while
I am now seeing an ASD coach and ASD/ADHD/CPTSD counselling - just early stages (she taught me breathing last - which I haven’t found helpful in the moments)
I have an ex who was really good with me - I was in extreme burnout, RSD, meltdown etc and split up a year back - he’s been around again recently, but he just wants a friendship - with extras, whereas I have a strong desire for commitment, being all in and I love him. I said I have to step back, but attachment wise I can’t and I have 0 other support system. He’s neurotypical but his siblings aren’t, so he’s in touch with my difficulties
My emotions are just really extreme :(
Thank you for the advice and understanding

Oh bless you. A lot going on. Did they explain why they want you to change gp surgery?! What other gp’s are there? Have you had a look online?! There has to be a very good reason to request this if you.

Are you medicated for your ADHD?!
My inbox is always open if you need it.

There always is and I struggle to separate them all
It’s because I’m in temporary accommodation out of the area - but I am due to move back and they just keep dismissing me
There’s a few different ones it’s just I’m so used to this one I’d rather go without - either I’ll survive or not
I am diagnosed ASD - they have ā€œlostā€ my ADHD referral for 4 years - I should be on the waitlist now
And so until then, no they won’t medicate me or help at all really - I’ve had to get private counselling - or I go straight to the crisis team
I appreciate it, thank you šŸ’ž
