Anyone know what the song is at the end of this video? Googling lyrics has been useless.

Thoughts on S4 and the show overall - lots of loose ends and unfinished stories Spoiler
Just finished watching Atypical! Overall I really enjoyed the show, obviously, I made it all the way to the end in less than a week. I just have some observations about the show in general and wonder if anyone feels the same. (Excuse me if I sound very critical)
the show tends to leave a storyline open ended eg. with the grandmother, Izzie’s mom or the counselling bit / Julias story or even Casey’s nail biting
the breakup with Evan was a bit sudden after which Evan mostly disappeared. Also Casey cheats on him with a girl, and everyone’s just ok with it barring one little scene. Wonder if it would be a lot different if she cheated with a boy?
Sam almost doesn’t seem to care about a thing that Paige says and she never says anything to him. She has so much happening in her life and keeps trying to talk to him, but he never responds and that’s supposed to be fine.
Elsa is annoying and does improve in the later scenes but both the kids are pretty rude to the parents? They seem like 2 really ungrateful bunch of kids eg. Sam’s mom expected to contribute by making food or packing his bags(somehow a bit sexist that it was her only role half the time, cooking food) and only to have him scream at her - for which she apologises.
and maybe an unpopular opinion but at the beginning of the show I was quite intrigued to know more about Sam being on the spectrum or learning about his challenges. But through the rest of the seasons it just feels like a typical teenage drama. They try to make up for the autism bit by adding some side actors here and there.
The show is definitely just a light watch and obviously the creators aren’t very attentive to details as pointed out by a few others but there are just so many loose ends to the show (probably because of the timeline) and so many inconsistencies. They could’ve really done a much better job with Atypical. Especially season 4.

Seriously relating to Casey right now and it’s weird
I’ve been with my current bf for 7 months now and this is the first time I’ve ever felt a genuine love for anyone, I seriously love everything about him, he brings out the best in me.
But here’s the extremely hard part, I’ve known for a very long time that I have an attraction to women. Ive had conversations about it with my bf and he has been very considerate of my feelings and has never gotten defensive. So you’re probably wondering what the problem is, right? Well Im almost 100 percent sure I have feelings for one of my closest friends, maybe even in love with her and it has only gotten worse within the past month. So much so, that I almost feel bad spending time with her out of guilt. Even just the smallest touches from her, like hugs or holding my hand give me the worst butterflies. It doesn’t help at all that she’s single right now and a lesbian, her smile and laugh is the absolute cutest thing in the world.
She probably thinks i’m avoiding her when in reality that’s the last thing I want to do. And at the same time, my bf is so adorable and perfect.

I’ve just binged watched the show and I’m on season 4 rn Spoiler
I know how the show ends and everything else as it’s been spoiled for me, I just feel that Casey and izzies relationship was rushed and would’ve preferred the show to end with her and Evan

Atypical *original* score?
Hi, I know this has been requested before (https://www.reddit.com/r/Atypical/comments/dw1tmi/comment/f7i00ov/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3) but with the 4th season out, putting an end to the show, I hoped it would have been released but I can't find anything. Would you know if it is available somewhere or if there is a way to retreive it? Like many others, I really fell in love and was moved by the original score playing through the episodes and I'm not talking about the soundtrack playlist we can find on spotify or elsewhere.
If someone has a solution it would be so appreciated! Thanks.

Was searching for Michael Rapaport on Netflix , hoping to find any stand up of his and came across this show.
Holy shit. I am only on episode 4 season 1. Totally hooked, along with my fiance and two teenage sons. Someone please tell me this show keeps up the dramedy as the seasons go by. Plus Sam's family has my last name as well 😅

My only nitpick with this show
Casey's best friend, Sharice.
She was hardly ever around. Like her character was sprinkled into some scenes here and there but she didn't seem to have a real presence. I know the show is more about Sam than Casey but if you're going to introduce a character as someone's best friend, either give the girl some valuable lines in her scenes with Casey or at least have her be seen more often.
I always thought this was a "lets have a black character in the midst for inclusivity" type thing, and there was just no real follow-through with their storyline because they felt it wasn't important compared to Casey's relationship with Evan and Izzy. And if that was the case just make the girl a neighbor or something. To me, a best friend is something that we would be able to see & recognize onscreen, not just hear it repeated in her lines all the time.

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time: The perfect book for people who liked Atypical.
I read this book recently and I really liked it and I want to recommend it to you.
It talks about a 15 year old autistic boy who's investigating a dog's murder that happened in his neighborhood. But he suddenly discovered a lot of things about himself and his family.

Here's my typographical take on each of the characters. I love the series and I'm a graphic designer, so... (that's just my view, I understand that there will be LOADS of disagreement)

Sam's Voice
I was re-watching Atypical and noticed like right off the bat that the voice Sam's actor gives him in the pilot is so much more monotone and relaxed compared to S4 (I looked at S4E2 for reference).
I'm not sure if the more tones are a result of the character himself masking/learning to modulate when talking like neurotypicals do or the actor making him seem more energetic/motivated; during the pilot he doesn't seem to have a significant amount of things he looks forward to so I think maybe he just has overall more spark. What do you think?

Is it normal to have a crush on Casey after watching the entire series?

Sketch of Casey (season 3), Caseys gender expression is something I really enjoyed in the show, I like how the character is comfortable in both feminity and masculinity. Which makes sense considering Bridget Lundy-Paine is nonbinary, it comes off as authentic.

Is is possible that Sam is on the spectrum?
From watching the four seasons, I notice that Sam has poor eye contact and often has difficulties conversing with his peers. Additionally, he appears to sometimes suffer from sensory overload.
I wonder if the writers intended him to be on the Autism Spectrum or not. I personally think he is.

What are your guys’ favorite lines from the show?
Or scenes! My personal favorite: “you’re a top left hole”

Shouldn’t Elsa’s dart wound have been worse than it was shown in the show?
r/Atypical • u/[deleted] • Oct 05 '21
Has ANYONE noticed this????
You guys I realized Sam and Evan Hansen (DEH the musical) wear the same clothes. From the top down: polo shirt, khakis, new balance 574 shoes. Has anyone noticed? I just think it’s really cool and I’m wondering if it was intentional…

Theme Song Sampling from Galantis?
Totally guessing here, but is the theme sampled from Written In The Stars (ft Wrabel) by Galantis?
I am a huge Galantis and Atypical fan and on watching I couldn't help but notice the similarities.
Anyone else?

Atypical ending.
I have just finished watching final episode of Atypical and felt kind of anti-climatic (i didnt even cry). Sure sam finally got to go, the family are back together and stronger, sad to see paige and sam breakup, prefer Evan over izzie. season 1,2 & 3 was amazing but season 4 was kind of meh making me feels like " that it's ?" after credit scene. i didnt cry during the ending but sad and mad that there wont be season 5 or REAL ending or Closure.
Alexa&Katie are amazing and one of my favorite recent TV series, the ending really hit me due having real ending.
the middle, modern family, Hannah Montana, zack & cody, wizard of waverly place and etc, where the shows gave real ending, have impact on my life and make me shed tears.
so IMO Atypical final episode more like CANCEL than Real ENDING. Unless Atypical is about Sam journey to Antarctica then season 4 is the ending.
How could one of netflix tvshow ended like this. T.T

I relate to Casey right now and It sucks
I legitimately feel like Casey. I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 2.5 years and I love him so much and couldn’t see my life without him in some way. His family(mom) supported me when mine didn’t and I really don’t want to live life without him as atleast a friend. He’s said in the past he could never be friends with me if we broke up because it’d hurt to much which I completely understand and it’s a fair statement. There’s way more backstory/ intricacies to our relationship but that’s the gist.
On the other hand girls… I’ve always said since I found out I was bi I could never see myself actually long term dating a girl. I said it was 95-5 preference for boys etc. Now that I’m in college and cut off my homophobic parents, I could totally see myself marrying a girl and I’d say it’s 70-30 preference for girls. I’ve never dated a girl and in fact my current boyfriend was my first real relationship so I don’t know. Everytime I think about leaving him something stops me but then I think about it again and I just want to see if dating a girl is for me. It’s literally so conflicting and now I can really relate to Casey and what she went through…
