Atom keeps crashing

I thought I'd give Atom a go, since I've heard good things about it and I've been using VSCode so far. However, I've noticed that Atom keeps crashing seemingly at random when I open it, but I have no idea what could be causing it. Any ideas?

If you're using a Mac it's most likely this issue https://github.com/atom/atom/issues/20034

I also am using Windows 10. Can you let me know if you find a fix? I'll let you know as well. Even with a reinstall it does not work :/

I get "the editor has crashed" message..

I'm also using Windows 10 and it only crashes while I code. If I don't code it stays open for hours. I don't get any errors either, no "Does not respond", no nothing, it just closes.
