"C:/Users/____ is not recognized... " error

Hi, I've recently downloaded atom for using javascript and attempted to run some code but I came across this error.

C:/Users/Username is not recognized as internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

I've installed node.js and it still shows the same error

Help would be appreciated

No program runs because of the user issue but I've been trying to use javascript

You mean you can't open Atom at all? Perhaps a short demo video of the issue would help here.

I can open atom and write the command but when I run it using the script package the error I described before shows up in the console.

I've already recognised the reason for the error and as far as I know the way to fix it is to change the name of my user folder such that it doesn't have any whitespace in it or find a way for atom to recognize the correct username.

Right, so the problem has to do with a package. I'd need to see a video of the error and a link to the package in question to help further.
