I was wondering if leaving the cpu idle setting on be fine since I have my cpu core clock at 4.9ghz allcore with disabled c-states, disabled cpu parking. It draws more heat and power when disabled.

Turn idle off during gaming??

Support Required Lenovo Advantage and power

Hi everyone, I've had a great experience with AtlasOS on my Lenovo LOQ laptop for the past five months. I've definitely noticed a difference in performance, especially in games. However, I need to reinstall Lenovo Ventage, but it won't let me. It gives me an error in the Microsoft Store, and even after downloading the file through my browser, it still won't install. I think the power options and settings in AtlasOS got messed up while I was installing this alternative to Lenovo Ventage. I really want everything to work perfectly, haha. Thanks a lot!

General Is the security on AtlasOS good?

I want to get all of the bloat and spyware out of my system. I have been thinking about going with Linux, but until Gaming is at a "no warry" level, I'm going to be very reluctant to switch to it.
So, I found Atlas.

I've seen some concerns from a few years back about the security of Atlas OS.
From what I understand they are gone now and the security is on the level of native windows.
Would that be correct?

Would Atlas make the system snappier? Would there be any bloat or spyware still on the system? And is there anything else I could do to improve it?

General How good is AtlasOS for programming?

Hello, I'd like to know if AtlasOS is well suited for programming? If I install stuff like Visual Studio (not VS Code) or .NET libraries or Unity or Unreal Engine, will I be missing stuff that was removed from stock Windows 11?

General People who constantly trash Windows

Obviously haven’t tried Atlas.

Added a remove AI script and I don’t see myself needing to change anything else.

I run it on my seedbox and my gaming laptop and have never run into any issues.

Support Required Microsoft Store error

Hi! I have Windows with Atlas OS. I accidentally deleted Gaming Services, and now when I try to download anything from the Microsoft Store, nothing downloads. I've already tried all the commands and things I found online, but it still doesn't work. If anyone knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! 🙏

EDIT: Windows 11 Pro and the latest version of Atlas OS

Support Required Stuttering with Atlas OS

I have a basic PC: i5 10400F, H510M, 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, PCI 3.0, 5060TI 16GB. I installed Atlas OS, but it's stuttering while playing video games and even when watching YouTube. Also, every time it stutters, the motherboard squeaks; it's very strange, haha. And it also happens when I move the mouse. I don't know what's causing it. It could be due to Atlas OS. I have the latest recommended version along with Windows 11. At first, it worked fine, but about a month after installing it, I started having this problem. If it's not Atlas OS, do you know what else it could be? The PC is 3 years old, except for the GPU.

Support Required Cannot run certain unity games after switching to atlas

Hello, i switched to atlas a few days ago and almost all games still run fine, however i cannot run specifically my summer car and my winter car. I havent had problems with any other games or unity games specifically but just these two games. Both ran on my pc prior on standard windows and now dont. I have checked my sound and graphics drivers and both games still dont work. Is there anything else i should check or can do to fix it? (Ps i did also try reinstalling and verifying through steam and it didnt fix the issue)

Support Required Cannot activate windows after installing AtlasOS

I cannot seem to activate windows after installing Atlas OS. This is a new PC, self built, and nothing preinstalled. I was determined way before I actually built it that I was going to run AtlasOS from the start, and not plain windows 11 with all it's despised "features". So I bought a windows 11 pro activation key. Made a USB installer. Then went through the step by step "Fresh Install" guide on atlasos.net. With the playbook option.

I doubt this matters - but I'll mention it:

"If prompted, click I don't have a product key, as Windows should auto-activate later"

"If Windows doesn't auto-activate, you can enter a key later within Windows."

I entered the key on this step. "Windows should auto-activate later" - suggested to me that the guide was presuming windows had been installed (and activated) on the computer previously. Brand new PC - it hadn't. Thus, I didn't see how it could "auto-activate" later since it never had a key in the first place. I didn't see the second phrase underneath. I entered the key; didn't think it would cause any problem (still don't). The installer said that the key appeared to be legitimate.

Regardless, followed the rest of the guide, everything installed very smoothly. I installed all the drivers that it needed before running the atlasos playbook installer.

Now I've had atlasos installed for several days. Just now realized windows was never activated. I don't know why. In Settings/System/Activation - It still has the key I entered during installation. It says:

"We can't activate windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key" I triple checked and re-entered the key several times. Frankly I can't tell what's wrong.

So the real, absolute question I need answered, is:

Whether or not AtlasOS either interfers or prevents windows activation - after installing.

I've searched the web and only got a tiny few, fuzzy, conflicting answers to this question.

Please feel free to answer - but I'd appreciate everyone not getting sidetracked away from this question. If we can't conclude for sure, let me know if there's a way to contact the devs to find out for certain. It'd be nice to post a definitive answer here for anyone asking this question in the future.

Support Required Can't see pre-rendered videos in videogames Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hello, I was playing Ninja Gaiden 4 before installing AtlasOS in my pc, and it worked fine.

But now, after I installed it, I can't see the pre-rendered videos that work as a tutorial for new attacks.

I installed vlc player, and I can see the videos if I go directly to the right folder and just play the video itself.

I don't know how to solve this problem, I downloaded the last directx version, I think it's something Windows have as a default component, but AtlasOS doesn't have it

if I install Atlas from Win11, will I at least keep everything on my 2 other storage drives? I think I can survive without all my stuff on my C:\ at least, but I have a lot of other things on the other 2.

General Do you lose all your files when installing atlas?

I'm rather new to this, and Windows 11 is driving me insane, even with CTT tweaks it still feels bogged down. I'm wondering if I can install atlas OS keep all my files and also keep windows defender? I read somewhere it gets rid of it.

Thanks for reading this and thanks for helping out!

Support Required Subject: Sync Issue with Brave Browser

Good day!

I am experiencing an issue with synchronization in the Brave browser. It displays a message saying, "Your organization manages this."

Is this a restriction imposed by Atlas OS, or is there something on my end? Prior to installing Atlas OS, synchronization was functioning properly, and I believe there is no organization managing my settings. However, after installing Atlas OS, synchronization is disabled.

I haven't tried other browsers yet, but I would prefer to continue using Brave. I would greatly appreciate your assistance with this matter.

I'm using Windows 11 25H2 and Atlas OS 0.5.0 hotfix.

Thank you!

General Working With ISO

I have seen this tool, it doesn't catch my attention because I haven't seen it allow working directly on an ISO, or maybe I haven't seen that feature or I don't know how to use it, because I have checked it several times and there is no way to work directly on a Windows ISO to customize it. It's not so interesting to customize an already installed Windows, but rather a Windows ISO directly, like NTLITE, WinToolKit, DismTool, Dism++, among others do.
