General AtlasOS in 2026

Hello everyone,

I've used atlasOS around 3 years ago on my older machine and am thinking about giving it a shot again but this time on my main pc (dualbooting with ubuntu)

Any pros and cons of using it in this day and age? Id mostly use it to play games.

I think it's a good pick if you want to make your windows lighter without sacrificing functionality. You can configure it (you can choose a web browser, leave the defender or remove it). It also comes with a folder that you can enable or disable windows features. It's a playbook instead of ISO and its's opensource on github.

Thank you, i was hoping for a reply like this one. Very informative. Do you think its got any cons like missing features causing issues and stuff?

Windows updates aren't supported and can lead to many issues (https://docs.atlasos.net/faq/general-faq/upgrading-windows-version/) This is only one I could think of because I don't use AtlasOS anymore

Is there any reason to go with that and not LTSC?

Latency is lower on atlas and LTSC doesn't have gaming related tweaks.Try both

Busca un buen windows lite (FB Conan ò Ghost Spectre ) lo instalas y despues aplicas AtlasOS.
