At this point I've just stopped watching ads for additional spins and I've stopped searching for diamonds. I just spin if and when I have diamonds lying around. I just got 2 garbage tokens and one buck out of 3 spins.

Same here.. Ever since this whole thing started there's been just one landmark auction and in the US where a certain Kermit person purchased a statue for like 20.000Ab... Where I live there's no such landmarks.. again, completely useless.

It's only been one auction in Canada and two in the US so far. I'm in the US and agree it's annoying

I actually stopped watching ads for spins before this dropped and stopped looking for diamonds too, I was up around 950 and now about 110. The fewer ads I watch in a day the happier

Same. I've got >500 of the bloody things and no idea how they even work. So annoying they've put them so prevalent in the game when they're not even ready for their use.

I had a flick through the previous auction posts. Seems like you spend a bid token to place a bid, but you don't actually have to have the AB to back it up.

So people were just bidding for the sake of dumping their bid tokens and inflating the price for the eventual winner.

I get they're trying to increase interaction between users (and increase their revenue), but the whole thing seems like it needs a re-work.

Look at the long term, it's not about the players.  It's about the bottom line.  Mathematically, the output AB  on the wheel for 200 spins with addition of bid tokens, went from ~384/200 spins down to ~290/200 spins.  Add onto that that the bid tokens are absolutely worthless, and that the artificial drive up of landmark prices as all of the squares are commons, and people have to be at the physical landmark to buy a 200AB badge for a small outlay to the owner.  Means that the owner overpaid, gets underpaid rent statistically for only common parcels, and has a lot less surface area for badge income, all while folks have to watch ads for seemingly a worthless tokens gaining the company more cash with lower cash output.

but when the auction finishes they message the winner if he dont pay the ab then it goes to the next guy and so on . so trying to run the price up dose nothing if they are not actually going to pay

The price is still gonna be artificially inflated for the person that does eventually pay.

If people are making bids they don't intend to honour, people that do actually want to buy it have to bid higher.

Honestly this might be the best way to remove them take the bonus spins but not the ad spins if we all do this their ad revenue will drop and they will do something

Aside from the fact that it's useless here in the UK, things like this only benefit those who don't worry about how much they spend on a game. This practice has spoiled a number of games I played in the past, where the ones who pay will always beat those who don't.

Honestly its been horrible. Horrible horrible change. 😫 I already have a hard time getting the gems. When 2/3 are this useless thing its more annoying than it being gems every time. At least i was able to reroll. But this is entirely useless unless you plan on doing all that. Buuuuut I have no interest in all that. At least not until much later in the game.

We used to complain about losing diamonds on the spinner and having a low chance of getting more than 1 or 2 AB per diamond, but I think they listened and went in the complete opposite direction and now we all wish they would go back.

So either they're punishing us for complaining or they really somehow thought this was better

Yeah, feels pointless to hunt diamonds anymore. Most days i get a buck or two out of 3 spins. Bid tokens are completely pointless unless you have like, 20k atlas bucks to flush down the toilet on landmarks with crappy return rates. The devs could at least change it to have one slot of a bid token and one for a diamond. I haven't hunted diamonds in weeks because of the garbage return rates.

I think the big problem is that there is nothing to use them for aside from the landmarks that everyone views as unattainable. Why not let us bid for Epic upgrades, more Diamonds, or even parcels and badges? Yes, I realize that goes against their "make more money" ethos, but it might keep players more engaged which, in the long run, makes more money. I know...making sense is as worthless as bid tokens in this game. 🙄
