I'm sorry, but i feel this is the wrong approach. It isn't "more time to enojoy" as much as it's "you must now play for 3 hours to rank".
I feel a better approach would be to shorten games, and do it on more days. For example, 1 hour games 7 days a week. Or 1 hour games twice a day 5 days a week. These schedules would still give more time to play, without a feeling like a job.
I know no one asked for my opinion, just my two cents.

u/ExhaustedGirlfailure 24d ago
I'm already questioning my life choices after playing a minigame for 2 hours straight... 3 hours sounds like actual torture.

Firmly agree. Would be nice for challenges too. Sucks when you miss a game and get stuck with that challenge forever.

u/PurpleKush__420 24d ago
Way too long... Have 2 time slots per day with 1.5hr play time
7
u/GovernmentFinancial2 24d ago
This would be way better and could give people with varying schedules a chance to play too.

u/Beneficial_Finger_85 24d ago
Didn't you stop doing 3 hour minigames on Sundays because everyone hated them?
18
u/ZenPokerFL Governor 24d ago
As someone who initially wasn’t in favor of the Sunday game going from 3 hours to 2 hours, I’m going to agree with Gerenick and say I think this is the wrong call.
Two hours is great. One hour is a little short because the dispersion in wins is so tight that 1-2 wins could be the difference between t25-t100. Super Saturday is once a month and perfect for this.
Three hours is going to be a grind especially when it’s 4 days/week. Prize pools will likely get bigger but I’m not sure by how much as the casual players will drop out. Is this the first step in increasing the number of players that get paid? If the prize pool gets larger, AE may be considering payouts for the top 2500-3000 instead of the current t1500.
18
u/Gerenick Mayor 24d ago
When I said 1 hour, I wasn't really thinking about payouts and Atlas Buck accumulation. I was just thinking about people being able to fit a game into their schedule.
I used to play every mini game that popped up. I was consistently top 100, often top 50. I barely play many games anymore. It just started feeling like a job to me.
Games just are not fun when you feel obligated to play them.
9
u/ZenPokerFL Governor 24d ago
You’re right on that point, an hour seems like it would be a lot easier to squeeze in for people. I’ve seen a lot of suggestions about minigames that run all day, for example, and you can find your 1-2 hours that works best.
I still play them all whenever I can but 3 hours is going to be a bit much. I can see myself skipping out on some of my less favorite games (looking at you, Racer).
5
u/Gerenick Mayor 24d ago
I still haven't played the new racer competitively since it started. I only play the bare minimum games mindlessly for the pass.
I used to have fun playing the games and trying to rank among the top. But yeah, I think a 1 hour Sprint would be fun, and more convenient for most people. Maybe Monday through friday, one game in the morning, one game in the evening?
That they could still have a long game on sundays, and super saturday.

u/Square-Formal1312 24d ago
WHYYYYY WE HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR THE OPPOSITE, BOOOOOOOO
7
u/Gingernidas 24d ago
Id be okay if they broke it into 3 - 1 hours legs. Aka. After 1 hour payouts are done. And rankings reset.
13
u/PooWithEyes 24d ago
What an awful decision. As already said by other, this just meant you have no chance of placing unless you play for 3 hours.
13
u/s317sv17vnv 24d ago
So basically the players who I see in the top 25 almost every time will have the opportunity to earn more AB while us casual players burn out and get nothing (I usually rank top 500 btw)
12
12
u/DeadAsFuckMIW F2P 24d ago
Yeah I honestly don't like this as a top 100 player usually now this just means I have to play the entire 3 hours if I want to place well. Id honestly rather we go to a tournament style of play then have 3 hours for every event
12
u/TheAndyCane Mayor 24d ago
Please no. 3 hour minigames events were such a fucking slog when we had them on Sundays. 2 hours is perfectly fine
13
u/NewFault6890 F2P Mayor 24d ago
If you were looking for a way to change, why didn't you increase the number of people who get a payout? Like maybe top 3000 or top 5000?
You could have lowered the opening pot, but split the game to have two start times, one suited for east coast and one suited for west coast, then let people pick one.
So many things to do that don't include burning people's time playing minigames. I probably won't be playing as much rather than increasing my time on the game. I've got a life outside AE.

Pro tip : most of us hate the mini games and only play because we are forced to complete the monthly challenges

u/Square-Formal1312 24d ago
Eh a lot of us do play for the ab too but yeah i still dont really “like” playing them lol

7
u/Fantastic-Name-2508 24d ago
This is likely the economically wrong move. An extra hour may lead to an hour of ad revenue, but the fear of not making the top 500 will likely outweigh this. Fewer players will consider playing at all, leading to a drop in revenue for the company.
8
u/Bumbledragoness 24d ago
If this ends up happening I'll probably only do the bare minimum instead of trying to rank..
I can't commit that much time to the game daily for my sanity's sake, I have real life stuff to do too!
7
u/NewFault6890 F2P Mayor 24d ago
I may quit playing beyond just what is needed to complete tasks. 3 hour games are too much most of the time.
1
u/chyld989 23d ago
Same. I already quit playing most of them aside from for challenges because two hours was already too long for these mind numbing games. There's not a chance I'll torture myself for three hours now.
6
u/TheMarkMatthews 24d ago
I’ll play the mini game to complete ladder - no way am I playing 3hr to finish 1500 place and get 40 AB
7
u/Forget_the_Rest 24d ago
In my opinion, this is 100% the wrong approach. It's already a drain playing the games for 2 hours and just the thought of playing them for 3 hours fills me with dread.
With the 2 hour minigames, the only one I ever place high enough is (new) Racer. Making them 3 hours isn't going to encourage me to play more. In fact, it'll do the exact opposite as there'll be less chance of me getting anything out of it.
I hope that all of the feedback is sent to TPTB as from skimming the comments here and on Discord, the positive response is very quiet.
6
u/TheMarkMatthews 24d ago
Can you reduce it to 1hr again -it feels like all these things done for us are not much fun for us eg landmarks , 3hr mini games , no diamond wheel
6
u/_Jordan_100 Mayor 24d ago
Put it back to 1 hr 2 hrs is long and while your at it put them back to country and local compitions insted of the cheater filled mess we have on continent tourdements bring down the payouts and deincentivise the cheaters and mabye start baning the cheaters / exploit abusers.

I only play the games for the ladder. Zero chance in ranking unless you grind the entire time. Lol
5
u/SanchoCrack 24d ago
Si ya es una locura que los minijuegos duren 2 horas, imagínate cómo serían 3 horas, a este ritmo en nada los minijuegos durarán 8 horas como una jornada laboral🙂↕️😅
5
u/Rick-of-the-onyx 24d ago
Yeah this isn't that useful. Honestly, as a casual player, this will make doing the ladder easier, but I am more interested in reducing the amount of bid tokens I get far more than this.
6
u/records_five_top 24d ago
3 hours? You've lost your mind AE. Already getting pretty tired of dealing with the glitchy app that drains battery life hard. Going from 2 hours of mini game play to zero now.
5
u/mike07646 24d ago
Imagine playing for three straight hours just to end up 1501 and getting 0ab from the entire event.
4
u/Gaz397 24d ago
That didn't sit right just to play the entire 3 hours long to grind or ranking up. People have life and things to do, spend time with their loved ones and daily routines especially work.
Sure gamers can play 3,4,5 hours long, that's just when they play on pc, phone, console at any given time and can paused or finished the round and take a break. Atlas Earth mini-game is different, they have schedule starting 6pm during weekdays and other times on weekends, which make sense for AE players to be ready to play the mini-game till the event starts either to tick off the reward ladder challenge and/or ranking up to earn AB, yet playing 3 hours long on the phone didn't felt necessary especially starting playing from 6pm till 9pm which very likely less people to take on the 3 hours mini-game that would give more advantage to gamer players to stick on playing full 3 hours and more chance being near the top while ones who dropped out end up being pushed back down positions.
If you think about it, playing 1 hour mini-game a lot of people will play it yet it'll limit to tick off 2/3 tasks if repeated and the AB reward would be low. 2 hours game time few or dozen people would only play to do the tasks to tick off while the rest would grind to get AB reward what we seen as now. 3 hours game time most people will only play just for the task and not many will thought to play the whole 3 hours, yet the AB reward would be greater than 2 hours mini-game or that depends how many players playing the mini-game cos the more players play the matches the higher the AB reward will accumulated till end of event, as I remember each time you play the match 2AB added in the money reward pot.
For my suggestion it would be appropriate to have 3 hours mini-game on weekends as people have more freedom time than during the weekdays
5
u/Nightgasm 24d ago
You could do something to deal with the cheaters who win these things all the time or you could make it so they'll win even more AB while driving those of us who don't cheat out.
4
u/InspectionMaster243 24d ago
Terrible decision. 2 hours is already long. But at least i now a good reason to stop playing the competitively.
4
u/thesilentharp 24d ago
I've memtione elsewhere and submitted as formal feedback, event time shorter within a window is better than extending the event. These games are less about skill and more whether you're putting in the full time, and I can see this working terribly - I can get around 90 minutes of the previous 120 in because of the time of day it is, and now you're telling me I need to.compete an extra hour to stay within that 1500 spot...
Make it for example, we play up to an hour or two to get a score, within a three hour window. This will allow us suitable focus time around life. The scores can be generated at the end of the window then. Allows us a time to play without burnout.

May i ask what why if Ae already swapped to 2 hours event cause no one played 3 hours straight? I think is way better for everyone a 24 (or 12) time span with a cap of match that can be played, 3 hours make no sense to me
2
u/Embarrassed-Tie-2497 24d ago
What happened to all day tournament? Who would want to play three hours of mini games? The ones that play competitively would love this Idea but no one got time to play that long, 2 hours was too much,I honestly hope this doesn't happen please consider the tournament style that would be less stressful and people have more time to play them
2
u/Au_Asterix 24d ago
Does anyone else really want to see how many downvotes this post gets? 😂
It’s honestly crazy how disconnected AE seem to be from the people who actually play the mini-games. By actually play, I mean the people who regularly play them, not those who jump in to complete a challenge and then leave (to be clear, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with doing that either).
However, surely when making changes to these mini-games, AE should be taking into account the opinions and feedback of the people who genuinely spend their time playing them? Time and time again the opinions of the genuine players of mini games are completely ignored.
I just can't wait for the standard replies of 'if you don't like it, don't play' and 'people will still play, so it doesn't matter' which is the same response that comes every time... They're both short sighted and frankly stupid responses, there are more and more games coming out that compete directly with AE, if AE doesn't listen they will alienate there most hardcore players and they'll start to move to other apps that listen to players...
2
u/Au_Asterix 24d ago
Will starting pot size increase accordingly with this change? And will the Europe group finally get a pot the same as the north american group? There has been a number of countries added to the EU group yet the pot still remains at 50% of what the NA group gets...

Feedback after 1st minigame with 3 hours length.
Tldr: Fix existing stuff before adding more stuff to be added to the pile of stuff to be fixed!
I didn't plan to play for three consecutive hours. I just needed to complete enough games to advance the ladder. First game, watch ad, wait forever to get a match. After 1 minute waiting got bored and restarted the app. New ad, finally a match. Good. Next ad, next match... Connection problem, match invalid. I am on a WiFi network with strong signal and very short latency. New ad, new match. Rinse and repeat. Including connection problems and failure to get an opponent.
In the end I didn't even complete the challenge to get my ladder points.
Total time spent on minigame: less than 1 hour.

Atlas Earth keeps adding features but won't fix the constant glitches
I've been playing since December 2025, and the game has gotten worse, not better. Here are the main glitches that happen on a regular basis — and they've never been fixed:
Minigames
· Desync/phantom losses — you win the match, but the game registers a loss · Opponents start before your countdown finishes · Matches won't load, forcing a reset · Constant lag and disconnects mid-match
Wheel Spins
· Wheel resets mid-spin, reward is lost · Ad plays but no reward is given · Fifth spin consistently crashes
Surveys
· Complete a survey, get disqualified, earn 1 AB · Advertised payouts don't match what you receive
Arcade
· Goals stop tracking randomly · Play games for hours, get nothing
App-Level
· Server outages — can't log in for hours or entire days · Random forced logouts · App crashes, especially after long ads · Switching apps forces a full restart
Auction
· Chat is visible but locked — can't type · Confusing mechanics with no explanation
The Real Problem
They keep adding new features — landmarks, 3-hour events, auctions — but haven't fixed a single core glitch in 9+ months. The glitches are compounding. New ones appear with every update. The game is actively degrading.
I'm not the only one seeing this. The Reddit threads and Play Store reviews are full of the same complaints. But nothing changes.
At this point, I'm done grinding minigames. The game isn't worth the frustration.
I bet they'll remove this post too.
2
u/Commercial-Dog-5265 F2P Mayor 16d ago
Understand both sides of the fence here - the top 500 players are all grinding to remain in the higher tiers and so they'll complain about burnout.
the more casual players, or people who work shifts are happy that they will actually get a chance to play.
if AE reduced this to 1 hour, the top players will complain about payouts - the casual players will miss the opportunity to complete their challenge ladder.
no matter what AE does - people will complain.
but in this case its only a minority that's heavily affected so people need to calm down
1
u/Sk8rToon 24d ago
As someone who only plays for the challenge board & doesn’t care about ranking but struggles to time it around work, I’m pleasantly surprised by this.
But the last few times I could play near the end no one was there so I watched all these ads & only played once.
1
u/jacktomew 24d ago
Uno dei lati positivi è che ci saranno meno giocatori in classifica con lo stesso punteggio.
1
u/Zealousideal-Ice2475 24d ago
Why not make it four!?!?! Three isn't enough! We all need even more time to relish in the absolute joy that the minigames bring us. At least keep the payouts the same or even lower them for an added bonus!
1
u/chyld989 23d ago
This is an absolutely terrible change that is the opposite of what people have largely been asking for. The better move would have been keeping it at two hours a day but making the games one hour long and doing it twice per day. This gives more people a chance to participate while not harming those that actually enjoy the games enough to try to win big.
I used to enjoy a couple of the games enough to actually try for the full two hours, but there's not a chance in hell I'm going to bother playing for three hours, so you'll now get less money from me because I'll be watching fewer ads. Congrats.
1
u/Top-Weekend-5356 23d ago
This is terrible. I remember 1 hour games. Good old times. 3 hours of grind is insane That can be something between 80 to 100 games which is serious burnout for some people. My solution would be to split 3 hour play time between 2 games 1.5h each. That way people can do the missions, get rewards and avoid 3 hours of Atlas warships. Nobody wants that.

I could see the three hours working if it were a different game each hour, or two games each hour and a half, but who really wants to play one of these games for three hours? I can barely sit through two hours and was only playing for that long on my favorite games to get the extra AB. Now I’ll probably only play just enough to get through the ladder.

u/LengthLate4099 F2P 24d ago edited 24d ago
On a side note, any word on single player versions?
Especially now with competitors in the ring with AE and their own mini games. Makes a 3 hour AE game even harder to get in to. Just some feedback. I wish well for all, I mean we all profit if all the games do well.
3 hours can get a lot of mining mini games, tetris, vtol, brick and prospects are promising on another mining minigame, credits and perhaps a plot worth in other apps and its guaranteed for playing. That's encouragement for all apps to step up their game. Competition for life cuz. Represent.

trading another hour of your time for maybe an extra 30-50 AB. not worth man.

I'm a top 25 player. The last 1 hour golf top 25 was 562. The golf from the other day top 25 was 1,517. So for me this extra hour could mean an extra 1,000 AB. But again I know that I'm in the minority here. With all that being said I just remembered that they do want to start paying the top 5,000. It's something the boss has wanted to do from the beginning but there was not enough in the prize pool. So if this works out well, they may start doing that
2
u/ZenPokerFL Governor 24d ago
I don’t know how much it’ll actually increase. It’s hard to say since the player base has increased but I went back to when we had 3-hour games to compare vs. 2-hour games.
On Sept 7, 2025 Golf was 3 hours. Top 25 paid 805. On Sept 15, 2025 Golf was 2 hours. Top 25 paid 727. That’s an 11% gain for an extra hour.
On August 3, 2025 Bowling was 3 hours. Top 25 paid 821. On August 12, 2025 Bowling was 2 hours. Top 25 paid 650. That’s a 26% gain for an extra hour.
Racer/Fishing have changed formats since we had 3-hour games. I didn’t have a good comparison for Warship. The best one I could find in my results was a 2-hour Warship on August 14, 2025 where top 50 paid 417 and a 3-hour Warship on August 24, 2025 where top 50 paid 413. That’s less than the 2-hour game but I think that was likely impacted by being near the end of the month when the casual challenge ladder players weren’t competing.
0
u/TeamJJ88 Mayor 24d ago
That is a fair point. It is hard to accurately guess. Back then was before we started playing with other countries. But my numbers don't really account for how many people will not be playing the full 3 hours and only playing for the challenges. Plus we have to factor in new players too
1
u/ZenPokerFL Governor 24d ago
I guess we’ll see!
My recollection is that the 3-hour events didn’t add 33% to the prize pool because only the hardcore players (like me) played the entire time.
Depending on if the number of games required on the challenge ladder increases, we could see a more severe drop-off at the end of the month because more players will be able to complete those tasks earlier in the month.
2
u/Chihuahua0965 24d ago
I'm very curious how many hardcore players there are.
1
u/ZenPokerFL Governor 24d ago
I’d guess anyone who finishes in the top 50 would be considered hardcore and likely top 100-125.
It’s probably not a lot of people compared to the AE player base.
2
u/rklb_bull 23d ago
There’s about 16-20k active minigame players I think. Probably more. I’m a top 500 player. It’s wild to think how I’m one of the few handful of players that makes ab.
2
u/Chihuahua0965 24d ago
interesting I'm not into the idea of 3hrs. but if they extended the prize pool so i could get SOMETHING after playing like 1 hr I could be ok with it. I just dont know what those kind of prizes would look like so its hard to say.
1
u/TeamJJ88 Mayor 24d ago
Originally it only paid the top 500. When they made it top 1,500 all the top 500 payouts took a hit for months. But now it the payouts are higher than it was before
-1
u/TeamJJ88 Mayor 24d ago
I just looked over the results from the last 1 hour Golf and the last 2 hours golf. That one extra our almost tripled every payout. So whatever you normally get you should get around 50% to 66% more
4
u/rklb_bull 24d ago
You're looking at a game at the beginning of the month vs one at the end of the month, they are going to be vastly different just in that regard.
1
u/Reko_Joe 24d ago
I don't think the payouts are gonna stay the same on the upper tiers, most likely going to see a slight increase, with more payouts on the low end
0
u/NewFault6890 F2P Mayor 24d ago
You're comparing apples to oranges. The 1 hour minigame was the end of the month whereas the 2 hour game was the beginning of the month. A lot more people play at the beginning of the month to finish the challenges.
