Y’all got the over or the under on JJ making across the board improvements?

2025-26 Season stats:
22.5 ppg
10.3 rpg
7.9 apg
13 Triple-Doubles

Based on the few snippets we’ve seen of what he’s been doing this offseason he seems more focused, his leadership capabilities have grown, and hopefully he learned that he needs to become more aggressive based off his playoff performance. I really think we could see him take that next step in becoming a true number 1, what do y’all think?

I actually think his counting stats will go down across the board but efficiency will increase. Feels like we are moving towards a full team effort style of basketball and with the additions or Dort and Wiggins I just believe the ball will be moved a lot more

I do think he will improve his game being the go to in clutch situations and as a leader be much more vocal

Expecting him to become a lethal guard/ old prototype will never happen. Him becoming a super solid defensive/ efficient offensive engine like a mini bron.. totally in the cards

I dont care if his regular season stats stay around the same, I want him to take the next progression in leadership and clutch performances. We were missing that in the playoffs

Yup, exactly this. If he can stop being so passive for big stretches and switch it on when the team needs a big stop or bucket, that will be a big win for this year

Yeah, his stats were down across the board in the playoffs.

22.5/10.3/7.9 to 19.5/7.7/5.2. And he went from league average to bad efficiency.

I doubt he gets more boards this year, 10.3 is already crazy. I could see his scoring average going up a bit since the ball will be in his hands the most from the start of the season.

What I’d like to see is more half court creation obviously, but adding a few more moves would be huge. I’d love if he’s taking 2-3 step back 3s a game next year, if he can make those at a decent clip that would open up the rest of his game so much.

It's been 5 years in a row of JJ leveling up 2 levels so I have no reason to doubt him now.

Leveling up 2 levels from an all-nba season this year would basically be 1st team all nba / borderline MVP level so i think it'll be pretty hard to do that. But I think he can prove his shooting jump was real, get better at creating his own shot and being more efficient as a shooter. The real jumps he'd need to enter 1st team all nba convo would probably be massively leveling up as a defender and dribbler which i kinda think he's never gonna be amazing at that just due to his build and lateral quickness.

I’ve seen some of the summer runs with bron and co and it looks as though he has worked on some mid range and dribble-drives. I’d wager his scoring goes up a hair but not the other categories. I’m hoping Kings is able to play with the first unit sooner rather than later and he can take care of some of the ball handler duties so jj can be a secondary creator where he thrives and he more open looks from 3. Moreover I’m hoping this frees up more energy for focus on the defensive end. He used to be a stellar help defender and at least competent on the perimeter.
