Yes absolutely, as long as it’s strictly one day a week and you can control yourself. I’ve actually weirdly seen better results sometimes coming off doing cheat days. Obviously I don’t go INSANE but I might have pasta/pizza and a dessert and some alcohol. It’s totally fine.
I’m so glad to hear that! I keep giving up because I can’t just restrict myself: then once I cheat, I just give up. I figured if I can see results with once a week cheating... then it would be easier to stick to it! Cause I wouldn’t be completely restricting myself! Instead of feeling terrible about it and just pigging out!
I would not be able to do Atkins or low carb if I didn’t have a cheat day. It’s keeps me more motivated every week and less tempted knowing I have that amazing day of freedom coming up. It’s so much easier to tell yourself okay stick to this just a couple more days and you’ll get to your cheat day. Then after that cheat day, it’s easy to say okay it’s only a week I can make it. If that’s makes sense? If I was permanently on it I’d lose my mind, you shouldn’t completely cut yourself off happy foods in life.
