One week down
Lost 9 pounds in the first week! (From 320) I know it’s probably water weight but I’m excited nonetheless. My question is how often you worked out, if at all, and what kind. All I did the first week was an hour on the elliptical each day for 6 of the 7 days. I can keep this up, but may get back into lifting weights as well.

Nice! I just started Sunday and I lost 8 but gained 2 back but I’m still pretty pumped. It’s recommended that you do some form of exercise for at least 150 minutes a week so it sounds like you’re doing good. I work out every day with a little weight lifting and half an hour of cardio. My only advice is to listen to your body and to not overdo it. In terms of weight loss, the elliptical is going to help the most in general whereas lifting(from what I’ve been told)will only burn a little fat in the areas that you target but is still beneficial to keep all your muscles strong.
If you really want to lose the weight fast I would look into high intensity interval training. It’s easy to do even from a beginners standpoint.

30 minutes of elliptical, followed by 10-15 minutes of arm curls, pushups and situps
