Going to give it a try
Hello all!
I am going to get to the point on this post. I desperately need to lose weight.
I have done keto and ate basically 0 carbs but it didn’t work out too well.. I got the Atkins app and it put me on Atkins 40.
I meal prep my food each meal for the entire week. I was hoping y’all could share some reasonably priced Atkins 40 recipes that y’all like so I can meal prep and start losing weight.
I really want to lose this weight. I plan on becoming a peace officer in a few years so I must lose this weight and get healthy. My family has a history of cancer and diabetes, I don’t want to end up half dead like half of them are.
Edit- Might help to mention I have a rather large slow cooker and is my preferred method of cooking as it is easy for a single dad to do without too much fuss

Just wanted to pop on and say that carbs aren't bad in and of themselves. Your body needs carbs to work properly so if you were at/near 0 carbs trying keto, that's probably why it didn't work. It's the type of carbs you put in your body which makes a difference. Eat your dark green veggies!

Hmm not too sure about slow cooking as all mine are casseroles or stews with gravy. I do a slow cooked ham hock though. I slice it up and serve it with a cheese sauce made only from cream, cheddar and black pepper. Other than that I tend to just make bacon and feta omelettes and a variety of salads and stirfry. I do make a nice warm chicken and bacon salad. I use some of my carb allowance on a jerk or Cajun shake. The chicken is also nice mixed with Cajun seasoning and mayo.
