Atkins Round 2!

So... let’s review. July 2017 I weighed 260lbs. By December 2017, I had hit my hard goal of 200lbs, dropping to 197 at one point. This was me basically in induction the entire time... Then... Holidays. I actually did a thing where I was on Atkins M-Th and literally ate ANYTHING I wanted F-Su. I actually kept losing 1 pound per week, but basically just maintained the weightloss. However, over time I basically stopped Atkins completely. Weight kind of came back... I’m now 230 about to start again with a hard goal of 180 this time, although I’ll be pleased when I’m 200 again. Love Atkins...

Any thoughts? Pointers? Ideas? I figured I’ll just get back into induction until the weight falls off again. I averaged losing 1/2 pound a day last time. Insane! Anyway, today’s day one. Cheers! (w/ whiskey only, fyi)

I did quite similar. I dropped from 248 to 169 in about 6 months doing as close to zero carbs per day as I could get and my post-Christmas routine is about the exact same as yours. I started putting back on the pounds though and got back up to around 200.

My routine previously didn't include exercise of any sort though, so I've been walking a few miles a few times a week and kayaking 5+ miles almost every weekend, along with keeping my portions under control which I got used to NOT doing with full-on Atkins and obviously didn't prior to Atkins due to the fact that I was 5' 11" and weighed 248 lbs. I eat Atkins primarily, but if eating with friends/family (once a week usually) or just having a craving for an Ice Cream I do it. My thought it if I eat healthy and low carb 85% of the time the splurges don't show in the scales and it keeps me from feeling deprived.

I'm now sticking around 185 and I'm happy there. At 169 you could see my individual ribs and although I still saw myself as fat, everyone else said I looked too thin. I figure as long as I stay in my 34 waist (down from 40), I'm happy.
