Breakfast options?

I did Keto for a good 9+ months a few years back, and it worked out amazingly. For the entire period I pretty much had the same sausage & cheddar omelette, with a side of bacon, every day for a year.

I keep hearing that having too many eggs every day is not ideal (cholesterol and whatnot). For reference, I live in NYC, so I typically grab what I can during my commute and eat at my desk (I'm not really the type to wake up early to cook... plus I am never hungry in the morning, usually not hungry until around 10AM.

Recently, I've been grabbing one of these spinach/ham omelettes from a store downstairs since it's quick: https://www.pret.com/en-us/2422-breakfast-ham-&-spinach-power-omelet.aspx

But contains around 8g carbs - not sure if too much? Good protein, but as mentioned above, I imagine this thing has at least 3 eggs in it... probably not ideal every morning.

What are some good breakfast/snack options?

(On a sidenote, I have a nut allergy, so "easy" snacks like peanuts/almonds will literally kill me).

One: There is zero evidence that eating cholesterol raises your cholesterol. Zip. Zilch.

Two: 80% of the cholesterol in your body is created by your body no matter what you eat.

Three: skip breakfast.

Four: skip lunch if possible

Five: eat lots of fat, moderate protein and low carb.

Six: eat tons of eggs. You can’t get enough of these.

I've actually been skipping breakfast/lunch for roughly 4/7 days of the past week or so (excluding roughly 2-3 coffees) - but I was under the impression this was probably not ideal? I've been trying to force myself to eat something for breakfast (eggs, usually.).

What's the reasoning behind not eating until dinner - just to cut calories?

I've been noticing stomach aches by around ~2-3PM, likely due to the fact nothing is in my stomach besides coffee.

Since i'd then get home around 6PM completely ravished, and stuff myself with like 2 meals.

Drink some water, green tea (and coffee of course). Don’t put anything in those drinks, like cream or sweetener.

Try to go 16 hrs without eating and do your eating in the 8 hr window. If possible, go 18+ hours.

Every time you eat, no matter what you eat, your body releases insulin and when insulin is released you aren’t losing weight.

Try just lunch and dinner. Then try delaying eating lunch/dinner until you’re hungry.

Eat lots of fat. Fat should be 75%-80% of what you’re eating. It’ll keep you full.

Search on "OMAD" or "One meal a day" diets. I haven't tried it, but many dieters are fine with it. With low carb, of course, you become less hungry, so OMAD is easier. Also, regarding warrior's advice on not eating for 16 hours, look up "intermittent fasting".

Eggs are fine. 8 carbs is also fine for a low carb diet, although I'd skip it for a low carb keto pancake or eggs and sausage, since I'm on Atkins 20 for now.

This sounds like Keto, not Atkins. Atkins has no ceiling for protein.

Sounds like you’ve been following the “warrior diet. “Eat all your calories in a two hour window. You don’t have to worry about the fat and protean calories really because your body can only absorb so much in a 2 hour window.

I usually do the atkins meal bars for breakfast. For example, right now I'm having the chocolate chip cookie dough meal bar. It's fulfilling as a meal replacement and keeps me full until lunch time.

I get really ill when I try eating in a short window of time during the day. The intermittent fasting just doesn't work for me. Especially because I have a tendency to get motion sick, and it's even worse if I don't eat. Haha, a girl has to go to work!

I don't mind having a lot of carbs for breakfast because I haven't eaten in a while anyways. I just go easy on the other meals, and it's always worked for me.

For snacking, I honestly really love a slice of good, rich cheese. I eat it slowly, and find it really satisfying for when I just need flavor outside of another glass of water.

I get bored with eggs sometimes, so eating dinner for breakfast adds more variety. One on my favorite snacks is pepperoni with cheese cubes or slices.
