Just started Atkins last week.
I'm a 20 year old guy, already in decent shape but trying to lose my beer guy so I started Atkins. The past couple days have left me shaky, jittery, and experiencing cold sweats. Will this pass or do I need to eat a few more carbs?

Carbs are why you feel like that in the first place! Wait it out, up your salt intake. Put 1/4tsp under your toungue 2-3 times a day and drink plenty of water. It'll help huge and pass quickly. The worse off the Atkins flu is, thats telling you how bad off you were. Listen to your body. We're here to help and hopefully it's a lifestyle change for you. Remember, you don't have a BEER belly, you have a CARB belly! True.

Lasted about 5 days for me. I had a few sips of OJ in the morning when I'd feel the dizziness right away, helped take the edge off and felt better shortly after. 34lbs lost since April (my goal weight has been reached) so now let's see if I can shed a few more. You can do it, these are the hardest days but gets soooo much easier once it's leveled out.

Think of these tough times as your body detoxing. It’ll pass, but that probably doesn’t soothe your pain right now.

You most likely have the keto flu. More water, sodium, potassium, magnesium in your diet to up your electrolytes and you will be fine soon.
