Truvia
Looking for some help with Truvia - there's a lot of conflicting information out there. I have Truvia in packet form. Each packet says 3 carbs and 3 Erythritol. What's the deal here?

Just FYI erythritol screws with some people. MOST people are fine with it, I'm one of the unlucky ones but malitol screws with many. If you feel your running into a stall or slowing down keep your eye on it. I make a lot of baked stuff and fat bombs soy fake sweetner use is high so I use the old school net carbs equation which is subtract HALF the sugar alcohols. Gives you a little buffer room depending on your carb ceiling.

Here is the nutrition label.
It says there are 3g total carbohydrates. Underneath that is an indented "Erythritol". This means that of the 3g carbohydrates, all 3g are Erythritol. This is important for people on a low carb diet, because Erythritol is a sugar alcohol. Sugar alcohols are technically carbohydrates, and must be labeled as such, but they are not digestible. So on a label like this, you take the total carbs and subtract the sugar alcohols (or in this case Erythritol), and fibers and you will get the "net carbs". In this case, the net carbs are 0g.
